The media could not be loaded. GREAT sharpener! 5 Stars ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐! This is an easy review to write. I do A LOT of adult coloring, usually Kerby Rosanes books. I use Prismacolor pencils l like to keep my tips sharp. I had a larger bulkier sharpener that l had for years, but it stays continuously on and over grinds because it doesn't shut off. So l knew it was time to purchase a new sharpener. I looked around on Amazon, and realized l wanted a sleeker sharpener for my new item. I liked how the AFMAT sharpener, looked, and l liked that it was more vertical than horizontal. I choose the purple color(more of a combo of purple/hot pink ). The sharpener is a shiny plastic that is thick and durable. It feels solid to the hand and makes me confident that l will use this thousands of times. The power chord detaches, which makes this easier to transport. This sharpener has an AUTOMATIC stop. So you don't need to worry about grinding your precious pencils down unnecessarily. I love that feature! You can also adjust sharpness levels. I prefer sharper, but you can do anymore rounded look if you prefer. See my pics for the "sharp" level. All pencil shredding are collected in the see through body. It holds a good deal of shreds before it needs to be emptied. I would guess at least a cup. To empty, just unplug(if not close to a waste basket), open the top and dump. Just make sure to screw the top back on, which is easy to do. You can see in my video that l didn't screw it on, and it was not a problem, product still works. I look forward to using this sleek product for years to come in my coloring and art endeavors!

Works great on my Derwent Inktense watercolor pencils. This sharpener sharpens them quickly to a fine point without wasting a lot of material. Design is great - just insert pencil, it adjusts to pencil size making it simple to use, and then press the pencil down for a moment as it sharpens really fast. The casing will hold a lot of pencil shavings so it will take a bit to fill up and the case seems well made.I create custom toys which requires the pencils be sharp to draw fine details and this sharpener does not disappoint. There are some manual pencil sharpeners that are great as well for a fraction of the cost however this was worth the expensive considering the frequency of my use.

Best pencil sharpener I've ever had. I can get a great point on my color pencils. I've tried lots of sharpeners for my Prismacolor pencils and finally no breaking tips right after sharpening. I like that it plugs in and no batteries. The noise level is good. It takes little space and emptying is super easy. I strongly recommend. Priced good and works great.

This sharpener exceeded my expectations. It's fast, efficient, precise ...... and is adjustable to most any pencil size . Very durable product and I am confident it will last a long time. Well worth the investment if your in need of a pencil sharpener !

Product works great and fast for a sharp point, but won't do the blunt point. I wish this part worked, but otherwise, great.

Best. Sharpener. Ever. I have had this in my classroom for over two years now. Students have sharpened pencils with this thousands of times and it still works like day 1. Works great with color pencils and regular pencils. I have even had a student sharpen crayons which would normally break a sharpener. I was able to open it up and easily clean it out. It's simple, quick, and sustainable. I recommend this for anyone (minus crayons). Teachers, this is the best by far!

Pros: Automatic start and stop, stops once pencil has a, 'sharp' or 'blunt' tip depending on which nib option you've set, easy to take apart and clean " a little challenge in the beginning to reassemble the sharpener but once you got it down it'll be no problem. Gives solutions on the paper document if you get a jam in the blade, cleaning the shaving box, and how to replace the blade.(Using a can of compressed air works great to remove pencil shavings and or lead build up on the blade) Great for all pencil shapes cylindrical, hexagonal, triangle, etc. You can order a replacement blade later down the road for the sharpener if you want.Note: It does state in the paper manual on page four section 5Q 'Chew up pencils and/or cannot cut off after sharpening' be careful if using this sharpener with the Derwent Drawing pencils or any pencils with a very soft core. The auto stop was not an issue with the Faber Castell Polychromos, Lyra Rembrandt Polycolor, and Caran d'Ache Luminance pencils I tested.The Derwent Drawing pencils have a soft core. In my experience the sharpener does not auto shut off once it reaches a sharp point. Probably because the pencil lead can and does break easily at times inside the sharpener. So the machine keeps trying to re-sharpen the pencil. Just place the pencil in for two seconds. Take it out and check the tip, if it's not sharpened enough pop it back in for another two seconds. This pencil sharpener is much bigger than is thought. It is 7 inches tall and 3 3/4 inches diameter. Upon unboxing I proceeded to sharpen every wooden pencil in the house. It performs as described making a nice point every time. It will be replacing a battery operated I-Point that gave out after a long service life. I liked the cordless functionality of theI-Point. I could pack it anywhere and would contain the cuttings. Downside was it ate alkaline batteries like crazy and didn't preform with rechargeables. This sharpener is much more powerful. It has a spiral cutting blade much like the old Boston school sharpener instead of a razor blade like so many others. Now if I can just get used to having an electrical outlet nearby. I may have to buy something like the Prismacolor manual sharpener for outings.
