1240-KIT-2000-1145-QC PVC Suction and Discharge Hose Pump Kit, Green/Blue, 2" Male X Female Aluminum Cam and Groove, 2" ID

I purchased this kit to use our lake water to water our recently laid zoysia sod lawn. The city water costs are ridiculous and in several months, this kit and pump will pay for themselves.I did not want to run pipe for a sprinkler system due to cost, trenching and possible damage to the septic system and existing water and power to our boathouse. I have triangular pulsating sprinkler units on order to complete the system.The kit has very high quality machined fittings with polished surfaces for the pump intake and discharge ports. The discharge hose looks to be decent quality and the suction hose is really heavy duty. Even the strainer is nice. This is a great setup, if you have the need to buy this kit. I am more than impressed, so buy it without reservation.

Hose is used for firewire propane pumping system. Appreciated the fact that the hose is 25' long as our lake (water source) has been slowly receding because of the drought. Forest fires have been plaguing MN north woods all summer. I have no doubt with climate change we will be facing more of the same. Glad to have a firewire pumping system in case the fires come too close.

I bought this to use with my gas powered water pump that I also purchased to pump down the water level in my pool. The thing to remember about this hose is that in order to keep it from collapsing when you use it with a gas powered pump the hose is very stiff. It was pretty cold when I used it on my pool, so it took some effort to get it straightened out enough to put the end in the pool. Once I did get it relatively straight and dipped in the pool it connected very easily to the pump and worked as expected. One other thing to keep in mind is that you will need to dip the hose into the pool to fill it with water to help prime the pump.

These hoses are top notch;at a good price. The only problem I have with this purchase is that I was charged for shipping,when it was supposed to be free.

Nice hose kit. Arrived and works as expected. Hose is very stiff and heavy duty, so it'll be even more unruly in cold weather. But at least it won't collapse under heavy duty operations. Discharge hose is lay-flat and works fine.Overall, I highly recommended this suction and discharge hose kit for 2" pumps. All fittings were quality and function as designed and expected.
