If your interested in how the salt got into the jar..Atlantic waters flow into Noirmoutier's rectangular, hard sun-baked man-made clay pools. Two days of evaporation from sun and wind create large coarse crystals called 'sel gros'. The crystals are light gray from the clay. They are harvested by the 'saunier' or salt harvester using long rakes to gather the crystals. Using strong, swift strokes the saunier draws crystals to one side of the pool. Every two days the saunier collects small amounts and adds it to the pile that becomes several feet high as the harvest season progresses. The coarse salt is dried and stone ground to medium size to produce EDEN Sea Salt. No further processing, washing, or additives are involved, and it is never blended. Best salt I use. Haven't heard any bad comments on this brand regarding metals. Will keep buying it.

this particular salt is very healthy. i actually feel the health benefits from taking this. it's definitely effective. this size is good and the moisture level is there. i take a bit a few times a day and also give a small pinch to my dog also. i used to get spasms in my feet and legs, well not anymore since taking Eden Celtic Sea Salt. it's also harvested in a manner so it's free from toxic pollution. the taste is yummy!

This is a quality product. I have various salts: Real Salt, kosher salt, and finishing salt flakes. I especially love the fine texture of the salt for my sourdough loaves. No pantry should be without it.
