I was able to connect my early 1990's printer to my 2019 MacBook pro, so I can't complain about the functionality at all.My only qualms are with the build quality. The shell surrounding the parallel port connector (on mine, at least) is incredibly cheap and shoddy, and wants to come apart every time I touch it, so I can't imagine that makes it a great way to secure the strain relief of the cable.All if that being said, once it's on the printer it's not a thing you're expected to touch very often, so I can't deduct too many points for that issue

At first the device seemed to work then it just stopped working. If I unplugged the USB cable and plugged it back in, the printer started printing queued up print jobs. Then a month later, it got worse. If If I unplugged the USB cable and plugged it back in, the computer locked up and I got a Blue Screen Of Death. I don't know who is at fault here but no USB device should be the cause of the dreaded BSOD.My solution was to junk the old parallel port printer and this USB to Parallel Port Adapter cable and replaced it with a new laser printer.I did not enjoy loosing all the unsaved documents and webpages I had open when the computer crashed. As I lost a lot of unsaved work, not once but twice, I would not recommend this product.

Tried to hook up to an older printer. The plastic housing broke within minutes. The wire separated from not being properly glued.

I bought it to interface an old eeprom programmer to a newer pc. Wasn’t compatible but could have been the pc or the cable. Windows 7 recognizes it, I’m sure it’s fine on a standard application.

Worked perfectly, gave an old laser printer new life. Plug and play once connected.

Life with a printer not working, is not enjoyable. This item replaced my old one and Walla! It is up and running once again. Best price I could find anywhere on the web.

Connected, tried and retried with any luck. Connected with second computer still nothing. Bought another from different seller ($4.00 more), connected and worked in 10 seconds. Very light in weight compared to second one. Not even worth the bother for a refund.

Ormai ferma da qualche tempo dopo un tentativo di pulizia toner e varie o ridato vita ad una mia hp p6 laser b/n sostituendo il covo parallelo con questo facendo così comunicare con un porta usb del PC la gestione di stampa.
