Is the pocket clip permanently attached?

The clip of this pen is attached permanently. It cannot be removed.

Is the twist mechanism inside pen made of plastic or metal?

Hi RS, this is Ivana from rOtring Consumer Care. Thank you for contacting us regarding our rOtring 800 Retractable Ballpoint Pen. Please be advised that the pen has a rOtring brass mechanism.

would this pen hold up to drops from my constant pen spinning at the office?

The rOtring 800 Retractable Ballpoint Pen can withstand typical office use thanks to its robust construction and high-quality materials. However, it depends on what exactly you mean by the act of constantly rotating the pen. If this refers to the act of rotating the pen by hand, i.e., flipping or twirling, it could affect the pen's durability. These actions increase the impact on the pen and increase the risk of dropping or other forms of physical damage. On the other hand, if the pen is simply rotated on the desk, the rOtring 800 will withstand such use. However, careful handling at all times will extend the life of the pen. Ultimately, it is up to the user to decide how much durability is needed and how much risk he or she is willing to accept.
