I store a lot of items at the bottom of my stairs which I grab on the way out (gloves, face masks, car windscreen brush ...). This stores it all with a lot of room to spare.It's sturdy, but expect a few sharp edges and breakages due to the nature of the product.What I hadn't realised from the picture is that the basket is painted. Although I intend to keep this in place at the bottom of the stairs, the paint has started to come away from the handle and it's only been in use a couple of days. I could imagine that if you're using the handle on a regular basis then this would only worsen.

It is painted mixed plastic & wicker & the paint is chipped off at the handles (on delivery, not after use). I dread to think how this would look after a couple of months of being bashed by the family coming up & down the stairs. Very shabby chic??! On the positive side it feels very sturdy.I am very disappointed, no mention of plastic or paint in the description. I am returning it & note to others postal return is £3.54 despite this being bought on prime.
