This gas mask filter, built to NATO specifications, boasts a 10-year shelf life and claims comprehensive protection against NBC threats, smoke, and particulates, even in low-oxygen environments. It's designed to transform a gas mask into a multi-use smoke hood. I haven't had the opportunity to use it in an emergency situation, but its specifications and long shelf life offer potential peace of mind for preparedness. Okay first up, obviously I haven’t tested this thing. I’m not out here getting tear gassed on the daily, and I’m not about to waste a perfectly good filter by opening it. Most of these filters are the same on the inside anyways. That being said, the outside of this filter is a nice, durable metal. I bought these as a backup to my Mira Safety filter but I think these might be just as good quality if not better. I am solely basing that off of the external construction quality. Overall you can’t go wrong with this filter for the price.

works amazing with the right gas mask. Was blasting spray paint in a VERY enclosed space for 45 minutes and didn't smell a thing.

Not a lot you can say , these are either great or not. This one is great. Comes sealed for long shelf life if needed and fits the 40mm perfectly. The one I received was sent well packaged and actually showed up earlier than first assigned. Stay safe and get your extra filter !
