The media could not be loaded. I ordered this back in late November of 2022 and I wanted to wait a little to write this review to put it to use first. When I first installed this I had an issue that the beeping sound never changed its frequency. Meaning that as you approached an object the beeping sound was always the same speed. I was pretty sure that it it should speed up the closer you got to the object so I wrote to customer support and they sent me a new one. The new one did exactly what I was expecting! :) The sound frequency increases as you approach an object and stays on solid when you’re “too close”. I was very happy with the customer support. The color matched my bumper perfectly and looks like it’s OEM. I mounted the display above my rear view mirror and it blends in pretty well also. The only negative thing I have to say about this product is that I wish it actually started beeping sooner. It’s pretty easy to install, but you have to be comfortable with working on a car as you have to take a lot of panels off to feed the wires. Also, drilling a hole in your bumper is a little scary, but like I said, it looks OEM. This might be overwhelming to some people.

Ekylin does make extension cables for the sensors for about $9 apiece. So you CAN put your brain-box inside the cab instead of trying to find a way to waterproof the brain-box and mount it outside under the bed somehow.With the brain-box safely inside the cab, you then also now will have enough cable to mount the display/beeper box up front, like maybe near your speedometer. That may be a better option than trying to mount the display/beeper box on the rear headliner which does not seem at all easy to me in my GMC truck anyway.I ordered the extension cords and am waiting for them to arrive so I can install it all. I will let you know how it all goes when it is all installed. Oddly, I DID NOT see anybody in the reviews mention the available extension cables. Yes, the extension cables, for four, are about double the cost of the unit, but still for less than $60 for the unit and extensions, you have it done right. Or so it would seem.

This item is highly functional and meets all my needs perfectly. The build quality is superb and it's very easy to use. Very pleased with my purchase.

So it was OK. The problem was that I was installing it in my extended cab Dodge Ram 1500. The wire cord for the display was too short. I installed the sensors, routed the wires to the junction box, tested the unit and it worked, OK. But once I ran the wire from the display on the dash, through the firewall down through the engine compartment and along the frame to the pickup box it came up six feet too short. There is not access through the cab directly down to the frame or the box and was not about to drill holes to run the wire between the two. If the display wire/cord had been six feet longer it would have been hunky dory. I'm not sure how I'm going to solve this problem.

So I bought this and wasn't expecting much, but was very surprised at how well its worked over these past few months. I didn't want the eye sore that is the LED display staring me in the face on my console, so I snuck it under the console behind the stereo and I can hear it just fine, so sound isn't an issue. The way I have it set up and the proper way, as far as I understand it, is to tie the positive into the backup taillight, and so far it works just fine each time and only comes on when, you guessed it, I back up. The different color sensors are much appreciated, so I was able to color match my vehicle. Other than that, great product with a surprisingly low price.

This product was defective right out of the box. Non-stop beeping as soon as it was plugged into power supply. Contacted customer support; they took almost three days to respond, they offered some advice then they stopped responding after that. They claim to offer 3 year warranty -- well good luck with that. Amazon was kind enough to offer a full refund. Amazon went the extra mile on this for me. Thank you Amazon !!! EKYLIN is a shady company. Never buy anything from them again, that's for sure !!!!

Very disappointed. The cables are too short, making installation a hassle and the connectors are flimsy. The manual is poorly written in bad English. The sensors often fail to detect obstacles and sometimes give false positives. Overall, they are pretty much useless. I would not recommend this product to anyone.
