Digitally remastered two-fer containing a pair of albums from the Soul legend plus bonus tracks. Sam Cooke left an indelible mark on the face of popular music. He was the inventor of Soul music and one of the most important singers and composers of all time. Without a doubt, he had one of the smoothest, most soulful voices around. Even today there are few voices that can compare. This quintessential release compiles two of his finest LPs: The Wonderful World of Sam Cooke (1960) and My Kind of Blues (1961). Both sensational albums continue to stand the test of time and contain some of his greatest studio recordings. This special collector's edition also includes six bonus tracks. There's no better proof of Sam Cooke's genius than these stylish and exuberant remastered recordings. Slow Jam Records.

Finally!!!
I wrote a year ago about my disappointment with ABKCO not releasing this album on cd (especially as part of the box set), but bygones...This release is an excellent way to start your journey with the essential founder of soul music, whose influence has permeated mostly every genre in the world. For many, this will be the only Sam Cooke album you'll ever need unless you become as entranced and intrigued by his musical genius as I had been. Remember, this is the Wonderful World of Sam Cooke plus My Kind of Blues plus bonus tracks that should be on repeat as often as soulfully possible.

Every music site that I have been too that has ...
Every music site that I have been too that has music samples of this album are all wrong. The samples play Jerry Butler instead of Sam Cooke. Someone had stated on Amazon UK if they were wondering if the mistake is on the cd itself. Well, I did not but the cd and I don't know if I want to risk it for any amount of money. If the samples can be corrected that I hope Amazon can get on the ball with this.
