The media could not be loaded.  I got this with no prior experience with a lyre or any harped instrument, so I have little idea what I'm doing as far as technique, but it's super fun to play with! It has a beautiful, super clean, warm sound that I am definitely going to be using in songs I produce. This is going to especially be a lot of fun to sample and modulate in different ways (grain tables await!) I think.It comes with a nice lightweight but well-fitting gig bag with a pocket, a handle, and a detachable shoulder strap. As well as a tuner (which I think will double as a tuner I've needed for an autoharp I have!) and a few picks. It looks pretty, is super lightweight, and seems well-made.

I played the guitar briefly when I was younger, but then I became so busy with school, I kind of let my hobbies fall to the wayside. I was so excited to receive this stunning 16 string Lyra Harp.I've been seeing this gorgeous instrument all over Instagram - and for good reason! It's quality craftsmanship, made with premium wood, has a nice weight to it and even comes with its on protective carrying bag. It comes with a few chord lyre picks, an instructions guide along with a few basic melodies. My husband used an android app to tune it called strings, and it was quite easy to figure out.

I have perfect pitch so I can hear it very clearly, I dont know if there is a way to tighten the knobs on top so the strings don't move during practice. That being said it is very simple to tune with the tool providedOver all I like the sound, it sounds like a harpsichord a bit and less like how I imagine a harp to sound, it is quiet, and you have to be gentle with it (it is an instrument not a toy after all) i can't say how i truly feel about the product as of yet since I only just received it, but so far I'm not ecstatic nor disappointedTldr: doesn't stay in tune but over all seems decent

It is a beautiful instrument that I bought from Bohemian Sounds, My husband loves this instrument; he immediately picked it up and began to tune it.The packaging was solid. Tightly packed, thick cardboard box, the hap was contained in a lightly padded nylon softshell case. I just loved this instrument, the quality is awesome, the attention to detail is great and it feels and sounds amazing. If you are looking for a nice instrument that is easy to carry out and sounds amazing, this is the product for you. The wood feels great, the strings too and it even comes with two picks and a set of spare strings When you gently tap a string, it creates a continuous whistling effect the space, which can relax our body and mind. Good quality for the price, I would definitely recommend this instrument.

Absolutely gorgeous! No complaints whatsoever. This instrument has a sturdy and expensive feel. Smooth sound, and so easy to tune. I adore this little instrument and highly recommend to anyone old enough to hold in on their lap and pluck strings. Id say music lovers ages 3 or 4 and up but every one is different. Im no expert but I do have a 5 year old boy who adores music and he is positively enamored with this. I feel this could be the perfect gift for anyone who appreciates music, or for musicians from beginner all the way to professional. I do tune it the strings before each use. I love love love this instrument and I find it very easy to use right out of the box. Highly recommend and already wanting another one!

As other reviewers have said, this lyre is you basic sleeper - I'd venture to say most buyers will be unaware of how nice it is if they don't have a cheap-o poor quality one to compare. Great construction and appearance shows how well it is constructed. But it is not appearance only - it tunes up and sounds nice too. Sure, not "concert" quality, but SO much more than what you'd expect at this price point.I only give it 4 stars for a beginner because of the tuning. It can be a little twitchy - and you need a chromatic tuner (a plain guitar tuner won't get all the notes). Also, beginners might be a little frustrated by the stretch of new strings. Like any string instrument, you have to keep after the tuning. Beginners might not know what to expect.But, this lyre is fun to use, sounds good, and worth every penny. Enjoy!

I have had this for over a month now and I love it. This comes fully stringed and with almost all the tools needed to start playing immediately, including a booklet with songs. One thing that you will need is a tuner. I did not find a free app that worked well and recommend getting a Snark tuner. Snarks are small, accurate and cost about $20. When I first got this Lyre, I had to tune it often—at least everyday and sometimes between each song. It was frustrating having to tune so often, but it was good practice. Over the last few weeks the strings have settled and now hold their tune for days. I still check the tune before I play just in case. The sound of the lyre is nice and carries more than you would think for an instrument so small. I have no musical training, but by practicing a few short songs a day, I have seen steady improvement since I started playing. YouTube is a great resource for learning to play.The lyre is small and easy to carry with the case. The case is much nicer and convenient than the pouches that I have seen with other lyres.
