We used two cleats to hang a 4’x6’ heavy wood sign on a wall. They worked great. We measured fairly well, but probably not perfect, and the brackets matched up just fine. Pretty easy! And the sign is nice and sturdy.

Minimal hardware to install provided. Minimal instruction. Remains to be seen if it will hold. I guess you get what you pay for.

Perfect for hanging a whiteboard on the wall behind a desk. It’s easy to take down so my daughter can update weekly what she needs to accomplish for school. Easy to Install and has multiple holes for attaching to the wall- makes it easy to attach to studs rather than using the anchors. Even came with little bumper pads for the corners in the back so the wall does not get scratched up.

So far these seem to be holding up to the monstrous mirror frame that I needed to hang.

I live in earthquake country, and I love hanging photos and art on my walls. These French cleats are easy to install (the instructions are clear and straightforward), and I never have to worry that my pictures will fall off the wall and hurt someone if, heaven forbid! a temblor should roll through - the wall will fall down before the picture does! It's an added benefit that you have the ability to shift the picture a tad left or right to make sure it's perfectly centered.I use traditional hooks for small pictures, but French cleats are my "go-to" for everything else!
