Easy to use.
Cleaned a great deal of thatch with minimal effort. The wing nuts, that control the rake angle, could have been a little larger. It has to be tight to keep it from being pulled to a steep angle that dug into the lawn. When properly adjusted, it was easy to use with a simple push/pull motion. I was blistering my hand trying to use a lawn rake. This was far more efficient and much easier on the hands.

saved my lawn
Having bought a house that was a fixer upper - the lawn needed some fixing up as well. Every time it rained the water would sit - it was like walking on a sponge. The grass looked brown eventhough it was watered - this little gem did the trick. I got bags and bags ( 17 to be exact) of old thatch out of my lawn - it took me several days and was a better work out than my gym but lawn looks great. We got 4 inches of rain this weekend and I can actually walk in my back yard without sinking in. Shared it with the neighbor who also thought this little guy was a gem. Really think I will follow the guidelines of doing this every year to keep my lawn looking great again. A regular rake does not get the thatch out like this one does - use it like a comb- pull it back and it grabs the thatch out - push it forward and it releases the thatch into a pile. No regular rake does that. This brand is sturdy - but not too heavy and works wonders.By the way, could not find one in a store anywhere so Amazon to the rescue.

Wear Work Gloves While Using!
The True Temper 15-Inch Thatch Rake works great for pulling up thatch. The levers on the rake are easy to adjust and overall the build quality seems to be good. We had a large patch of dead grass/thatch in our backyard and it managed to pull it up with ease! This is likely a common sense thing, but make sure you wear work gloves while using the rake, otherwise it will tear up your hands from the handle rubbing on your skin.

Quality Rake with Multiple Uses
Quality rake that does the job for thatching. Other uses are also a bonus if needing to hand aerate or sweep. My only complaint would be the rotating head. It could be more user friendly to angle into place when thatching and when wanting to go back to sweeping the debris away gently press forward to even out the head. Most times I find myself holding the head in place with my foot while rotating the handle upward. That's the only drawback.

Bent on before use
I read great reviews on this rake. I went to home Depot and was out of stock. I decided to purchase it on here, was alot cheaper too. My rake arrived today the packaging ripped, I saw the metal blades on each end bent and one side wing nut missing. I had my roommate use pliers to fix it and used different screw to replace the wing nut, eventually will buy a wing nut. I'm keeping it and will update when start using it.

Works Great
Works great and while my front yard is very small, I got a big pile of dead grass after thatching.

Needs one improvement
Solid handles and blade make removing thatch and weeds fairly easy to do. The one problem is the tiny wing nut and cheap screw used to establish angle of blades.

High price for a damaged product
The item was delivered looking like it was already used to fight off a zombie horde. I have yet to use the item so rating is based solely on appearance.
