Q: Do you put glue on the strip before you wind them? How do they not unravel?

The printed instructions say to wind the paper on to the bars until you have approx 5 cm remaining to wind. Stop and apply a thin layer of glue to that remaining 5 cm and then finish winding.

Q: After drying completely, don't they unravel easily?

No they don't unravel easily as long as you've used glue. There is glue that comes with the kit, but we have found regular stick glue to work just as well.

Q: Can you use fabric instead of paper?

I don't see why not as long as you cut the fabric into narrow strips.
