Decent value but a real pain to open for the first time
I needed some portable storage for work and I prefer to roll my own external drives.As multiple previous reviewers noted, this thing is a real bbbbbbbbbbbear to open for the first time.And it didn't help that no instructions came with it.(Note: I shouldn't have to come to the Amazon product page to try and figure out how to open this. One star deduction for that.)I found the instructions by reviewer Michael Randolph to be the most helpful in getting it open the first time.After that installation was fine.I popped a Crucial SSD drive in there and tested it out.Got good transfer speeds on USB 3 equipped computers.For the price, it's a good case but man, that first opening is a doozy.

Does not slide open
I used the product to house the 2.5 inch hard drives I harvested from my old laptops. It took me quite some time to open the product, even prying it carefully on the sides. After I opened it, I slid the hard drives and it fit well and was super fast in copying files. If only it slides open just like the video showed, I would have given it a 5 star rating.
