We have been very satisfied with this umbrella and even more satisfied with Helen P in customer service. We left our house for the day leaving the umbrella up not knowing that extremely high winds had been predicted to come thru our area and to take down umbrellas. We came home to a bent lower poll. I e-mailed customer service : Helen P. responded immediately and after confirming the part we needed to replace, sent it on to us. She was so helpful and extremely pleasant and it's very much appreciated.

When closing our new umbrella on Memorial Day, I noticed a section about 1 1/2” - 2” long where there was a gap in a seam. Since it was brand new and fairly pricey, I decided to initiate a return/exchange, because otherwise, we really loved the umbrella and needed it badly. Included with it was a card with all customer service contact info for Viney, so I emailed them really late that evening with two pics of the defect, expressing my disappointment and slight aggravation at needing to return it for an exchange. To my complete surprise, early next morning I had a return email from Viney apologizing for the inconvenience, informing me they had already ordered a replacement, and saying not to bother returning the first one but to keep it for our inconvenience. Honestly, I can probably repair the hole, but just didn’t feel I should have to for what we had paid. In my opinion, THIS is the first class customer service that is almost unheard of nowadays, and I would order again from them without hesitation. Second umbrella arrived on Friday afternoon in perfect condition, too. Very happy with the purchase and the company!

The pole is not thick enough to withstand a high wind with it closed. We had a strong gust last week and it totally bent the bottom pole at the ground level. Super unhappy. I need a replacement bottom section.

We were looking for an umbrella that did a great job protecting us from the sun and still looked good. This one is made of high quality and very sturdy when the winds start blowing. It cost more than many of the other umbrellas, but as they say, you get what you pay for. I feel it is worth it as it should last us many summers of enjoyment. The new modern crank is very cool, and we love the rachet sound when closing it down. My only concern is that it comes with a safety pin at the top. It is hard to reach for us, so we don't use it and it clangs on the sides of the bar sometimes. I guess we could easily remove it, so not big deal.

*edited to 5 stars* - customer service reached out and offered full refund or replacement. No requirement for review update either but this is really amazing customer service. I’d absolutely try it again - especially given how rare it is to find sunbrella fabric at such a reasonable cost. Other than our one incident I should add we have another one (not the 3 tier but the one tier) from the same company from last year that has lasted all year with no issues and zero fading.We really loved this umbrella but I can no longer recommend. We’ve had for two months and it was in the closed position on a 200lb metal base and we had some wind last night and the umbrella is now at the bottom of my pool with a broken pole at the top.

I love this company and their product. The umbrella does a wonderful job of blocking the brightness and heat of the sun : Sunbrella is the only way to go for long life under intense sun. And the company itself encourages suggestions input and feedback from customers. As an extra surprise after I got my umbrella I got an offer of free extra matching sunbrella material which might even turn out to be a free matching umbrella cover. I feel like i have a 'relationship with the company ad I am very confident that they will be there to support. if I have any problems. ' Great company, super great umbrella

I took my time and studied umbrellas before purchasing this one. I read a ton of reviews and then bought this one from Viney, The over all quality of this umbrella beats any I have ever had. From the pole to the crank to the fabric, it is just quality. I am finally able to sit on my patio much longer now with this sun protection. It is actually cool under there somehow! The customer service is outstanding as well. They were going to send me a replacement finial because I thought it was missing in the box until I broke the box down for recycling and found it stuck inside. When I told them what happened and how wonderful it was to be able to connect with customer support and have such service, they said they are gifting me with an umbrella cover....wow!

I researched all winter and was clearly sold on the Viney Deluxe Umbrella! I ordered it in April and did not put it up for a few months. Right from the beginning it had a “bend” in the pole just above the crank.I contacted the company and they were very efficient. A new pole was sent out immediately and follow-up communication has been on-going to make certain that the second pole is what I wanted.This is the kind of service that we all want; this is the kind of service that is needed to make ordering on-line the better choice!
