Had For 5 Years - No Regrets

Like all parents reading this, I spent a lot of time researching and reviewing before deciding on this crib for my firstborn. I bought this back in 2019, and after 4 great years, we are finally are ready to part with it. Initially, I was looking only at Greenguard Gold Certified cribs, which this is, but I was on the fence on this one because it was on the expensive end. I justified the purchase by saying it would last us through the first two years with the toddler conversion kit. We are past Year 4.Pre-Baby Stage. I suspect many new mothers are like this, but as soon as I learned I was pregnant, I started crib shopping. I purchased this early on, along with some other baby furniture, so it sat in a room sans baby for many months as I prepared for our little one. During this time, the bed was just a gorgeous piece of furniture. I loved that it was two-toned and easy to match. Also loved that it looked modern. It came with straightforward instructions on how to build.Newborn Stage. This is really the stage when you care about the appearance of the crib, because you will be taking a lot of photos of your baby in it. In this regard, it was an beautiful piece that complimented many outfits. With respect to functionality, with the mattress at its highest, it was easy to put the baby down on the mattress despite my more limited movement immediately post-partum.Infant Stage. This is a longer stage in which your baby will learn to sit up, stick their arms and legs through the bars, and eventually pull themselves up to a standing position in the crib. I appreciated the various features of the crib at this time. Every piece of the crib, including the bars, is very smooth, so there was never a fear of our baby getting splinters. The bars had the perfect amount of space in between. We had another crib with slats instead of bars and more narrow gaps between the slats. That didn't allow for our baby to pull himself up using the slats. On the other hand, little fingers easily wrapped around these bars.During this stage, however, is also when you need to lower the mattress a couple times so your baby won't be able to crawl out. Lowering and raising was easy. But putting our baby down without waking him was a test on our upper arm muscles. Our baby was a light sleeper, and bending down far enough to lower him just onto the mattress softly was not always easy. My husband commented on how the drop-side cribs of the past were much easier but, as it turned out, they're banned for safety reasons! Our son was also teething quite a bit during this stage. He started biting parts of the crib before we realized we needed covers. The wood was very soft so it was easy for him to leave very visible bite marks. He also took off some paint. We probably should have gotten guards as soon as he was able to pull himself up.Toddler Stage. This is the stage where your child will start treating the crib like monkey bars. At some point during this stage, they will be able to climb out. That was the point when we converted the crib to a toddler bed. To our surprise, having the freedom to choose encouraged our son to stay in his crib. He started to bring his toys and books in there and just hang out. The crib has taken the most abuse during this stage. He treats it like a trampoline, climbs on it, etc., and it's held up without an issue.Overall, we have been happy with this crib through all of the stages.

Such a sturdy beautiful crib!

When I saw it online, it didn’t appeal to me. Hubby urged on that we get it, so I went with him. Oh my! After setting it up (took us 2 hours), I fell in love instantly! Very sturdy and beautiful and our Graco 28 by 52 standard mattress fit in perfectly with no gaps! I just hope the paint peeling won’t be an issue as someone pointed out.

This arrived quickly and in great condition. I am 32 weeks pregnant and put it together on my own in about one hour. If you are good at following instructions this crib is a piece of cake. It looks great, although I thought the slates would look more like pine. They actually have a white opaque look to the wood grain. It is not horrible, but not what imagined from the photos. Overall I am very pleased with the assembly and overall look.

Beautiful & Easy to put together

We absolutely adore this crib! It was easy to put together in under an hour just the two of us. I feel like it could be done easily by one person though. We bought the Newton Waterproof breathable mattress from their website and it's a perfect nice tight fit, no gaps! Baby girl will be here in a week or two so I'll update after we actually start using it!

Beautiful crib but scratches easy

Beautiful crib. Baby isn’t here yet so we haven’t used it yet but so far, it seems very sturdy, very beautiful and a really great crib for the price. Only advice would be to build on carpet or padding because it does scratch very easily.

Easy to Assemble!

This crib was easy to assemble. I did most of it by myself being 6 months pregnant. My husband helped me putting in the last railing in because I was having problems matching up the pegs. The instructions were very clear and easy to follow. Once it was all put together, the crib is light to slide across wood floors to figure out where I want to put it in the room. I really like now it looks and I didn't find any defects with the wooden parts.
