hoping this helps
my nutritionist recommended using this, so i do. i just used it tonight with a red curry dish. i also cook with iron dutch ovens and pans. my family for completely different reasons are anemic. we take iron and eat rich foods but some struggle with storing iron in their bodies. this fish is heavy and is the size of your palm in length. but the iron is activated by acidic foods (tomato, lemon, lime etc) a video tells you how to activate it unless you are using any acid in the food already then you flip it in. easy to clean big enough no one will accidentally eat it (like that dreaded bay leaf) i love my iron fish!!

Works great!
My eye has been twitching for the past 3 weeks, I tried so everything to get it to stop. I put the fish in my tea and drank it and immediately got rid of the twitch! (Not medical advice)

Not Lead Poisoning—It’s a Wellness Gift, Babe!!!
I got this for my friend who’s been dealing with iron deficiency and undergoing treatments. When she first told me about her condition, I started digging for natural ways to help support her levels—without interfering with anything her doctor prescribed. That’s when I found this little iron fish. I read up on it, cross-checked info (Google and PubMed were in rotation), and decided it was a safe, simple, and thoughtful add-on to her kitchen routine. So I gifted it to her. Her reaction? Confused, slightly panicked, and hilarious: “Girl, what the heck is this?” I had to explain: “I’m not giving you lead, I’m giving you hope. You boil this little guy for iron.” She’s still allegedly using it (wink wink), but I’m waiting for her to confirm with blood work results. I told her: “If you get a little constipated, that’s your sign it’s working.” And I meant that with love. This is one of those gifts that shows you care deeply—and also aren’t afraid to be a little weird about it. It’s affordable, reusable, and has centuries of cultural backing in iron supplementation. Also, the packaging was surprisingly cute—perfect for gifting. It didn’t feel clinical or sketchy, which helped when I handed her a literal metal fish and said, “Trust me.” Disclaimer: Always talk to a healthcare provider if you’re dealing with serious deficiencies. This fish is a supplement—not a miracle. But if you want to support someone in a low-key, sweet, and slightly hilarious way? This is it. ⸻ I review thoughtful gifts, weird finds, and everything in between. Tap my profile for more honest laughs and helpful picks.

RUSTY
I really wanted to love this product since it had no side effects like taking iron supplements but the first time I used it the second I took it out of the water. The water tasted horrible and the entire fish rusted. I soaked the fish vinegar to get rid of the rest, but it still has a horrific smell and rust present. I’m so sad I can’t return. DON’T BUY
