We like the product because it is sturdy and training with it is challenging. It is a good quality product.But the real reason I give it 5 stars is the seller customer care. The product I received from amazon was clearly returned by a dissatisfied customer that couldn’t go past step one of installation.. I have reasons to believe that..After I opened the box I did the inventory of the parts and found I was missing one. I contacted the seller because I hate to pack up and return things. From my experience, returns can require as much work as installing new equipment.Therefore I decided to contact the seller for the missing part.I called early in the morning and to my surprise I did not reach a voice message, but I got to talk to a reasonable person from Body Solid that answered, listened and solved my problem immediately!And got the missing part in 5 days as promised. Thank you, once again!Customer support is amazing!As for the product, the instructions are terrible. However, I am a woman (I say it to align with commonly assumed misconceptions) and I managed to install the ab bench. Women out there beware: it is a tricky process because the instructions are in inches, and the parts inventory is in metric system. Also the number assigned to parts made no sense. Before installation I used all the information, such as number of items I received, to correctly identify all the parts. After that, it was easy.I really enjoy the ab bench and I hope we’ll use it many years. The quality is really good.

I bought this hoping it would help me with lower back pain. So far I try and use it every other day, and I have noticed my back pain has decreased, so I am pleased.The item itself is stable even on carpet, and made of what seems like strong metal tubing and components. I knew if I was buying something of this nature, I wanted quality that would be easy and comfortable to use, and would last many many years.Assembly wasn't too bad, basic picture book nuts and bolts, I have seen worse.Overall, I have had this product for a few monthes now, and I'm satisfied with my purchase.Also, they sell this same model under different names at different stores, but this was the lowest price I found. A certain department store was about $50 more.

I purchased 2 of the Body-Solid Powerline 45-Degree Hyperextension Bench (PHYP200X). Originally when assembling I realized I was missing an end cap. We followed up on Amazon, and I received a call that day, they will be sending a new part. Things happen, it's the manner in which its handled and they did an incredible job managing my concern. The equipment we've purchased from Gronk Fitness has worked out great, very sturdy, easy to assemble and I know if we need support, there will be no issues! Jimmy

I was extremely excited when ordering this product. As soon as I received the bench, the excitement vanished. I have never seen an Amazon product so unprofessionally packaged. It's one thing for the outer box to be destroyed; but it's another for the interior package to be so inadequately protected. All the parts were just stacked in the box with very little foam. In other words, all parts were allowed to roam freely inside. When I opened the box, it was like a war zone. All parts seem to have incurred some damage. No parts were spared... Worse, some parts were so damaged that some were grinded to fine powder. I ought to mention, there was so much "black powder" (not paint residue or oil) but some unknown substance.Now, I have the nasty blessing of repackaging a product that was never packaged in the first place. I hope Amazon helps me out on this. Would I recommend this product? Never. Buy another machine.

I had back problems and little core body strength. After four months of PT, the therapist said I needed a "Roman chair" aka a "hyperextension bench" to keep my body strong going forward. That was three years ago. My back is in fine shape. This is a smart buy and a good bench--but only if you know how to use it. I've seen people at the gym doing straight-backed moves on this bench. They will pay in a few years. It is critical the user maintain the correct lumbar position of their lower back during the exercise. So learn how to use the bench from a qualified professional.

Currently unusable. I was sent an incorrect piece of hardware. I have contacted the seller and I will update if they respond.From others' comments, missing and incorrect hardware seem to be an issue with this product, so take that into consideration.For me, it was only one small piece of hardware that was wrong, but a pretty important piece.That being said, the instructions are also pretty damn tough to follow. As mentioned in another comment, the instructions are in standard and the hardware is labeled in metric. It's doable, just complicated for no real reason.UPDATE-Okay, I was able to speak with a rep from the sellers and they got everything squared away. The new piece took quite a while to get to me, but now that I have the machine together, it works well. The upper part is still a little wobbly, but overall, it's usable. Honestly, I think the machine itself is worth 5 stars, but I'm leaving it at 4 just for the hassle of trying to get the correct piece, and mostly because this doesn't seem like a one-time thing. Other people have had the same issue. So the machine works well, but be aware that you may not receive all of the correct hardware in the package and have to wait a few weeks to get the correct one.
