Braun Classic Analogue Alarm Clock with Snooze and Light, Quiet Quartz Movement, Crescendo Beep Alarm in Grey, Model BC12G.

I got White, Model BC12W. I didn't want to hear any ticking sound, and thankfully this clock is silent. Love it.I like that this is small so it doesn't take up too much room on my desk either. I don't use it as an alarm clock but the alarm sound was loud. It's light and small so I could take it with me for the long vacation too.Also it's Braun - not a random brand, so felt safe to have it near me all the time. Some unknown brand have made products with cancerous materials in the past, so now I'm only buying one with known brands, even though some retro looking clocks with random brands were super cute in amazon.

The product listing has a size so its my own fault for thinking this was bigger, so not really a con. I do wish I could get this exact same clock about 2-3" larger. The design is fantastic. The entire outer case and front glass is all plastic but feel nice, it doesn't creak when handling the clock. The timekeeping is solid, plenty accurate. The printed face is awesome, I love the straightforward design of this, and I like the color of the second hand. The clock has a small light in the lower right that lights up when you push down on the whole clock (button is actually on the bottom, you push down and the table triggers the button). In pitch black the light is enough to read the clock, but its pretty dim. The good thing is that because of the good contrast of the hands against the face you can read this clock easily in very dark settings. I can't speak to the alarm because I haven't tried it, I just bought it as a desk clock.

Giving it 4 stars, because the base should be wider (it easily loses balance).

AVOID THIS CLOCK. I purchased this alarm clock for travel and it was some time between my purchase and my first trip so I just kept the clock in its original box. Upon opening it, I discovered that the label on the face of the clock which explains that batteries are not included is IMPOSSIBLE to remove and is now worthless. DO NOT BUY THIS CLOCK.

Its attractive and keeps accurate time. I use it as a desk clock. Its under my monitor screen. The black and silver colors match the monitor. The clock is easy to read, especially compared to the digital time on the monitor screen bar.The clock has a simple, retro look. It makes me smile because it reminds me of the analog clock on my Datsun 240Z many years ago.The clock is all good as a desk clock.I wouldn't use it as a night stand alarm clock. As others have said, its not readable at night. I think there's a slightly more expensive version with a continuous backlight, but I'm not familiar with it. This one has a button to temporarily illuminate at night, which seems a pain.Others have said its plastic and not worth the price. Doesn't bother me. It looks more expensive than it is.

I bought this to serve as an alarm clock in a guest bedroom. Well, wouldn't you know it in today's world of high tech that even this stupid alarm clock is confusing! I assumed the bar at the top served as a "snooze" bar, but NO! That would make sense! That bar is for SETTING the alarm. I decided this clock is too sensitive and fussy and confusing to put in a guest bedroom; I'm using it just as a clock elsewhere.

I put it in top of my watch winders, it looks very cool! But it is not much bigger than the opening on the watch winder, so keep in mind, it is kinda of small.

Braun used to be a quality brand. This clock worked fine for less than a year. Then it got slower & slower. My previous Braun clock lasted for over 10 years. Not buying this brand again!
