For an introductory set of acrylics for a budding artist teen, these are great. It's a good selection of the most-used artist colors. He immediately noticed a difference from the cheap paints he had been using and raved about the quality. Colors are vibrant on-canvas and consistency was creamy and easy to mix. Tubes are full (now almost empty, with how many canvases he's filled) and performed without leaks.

The paints are an excellent size and a good variation of colors. It is a somewhat thicker paint and need less to do the job than your typical store bought acrylics. Some had made comments on the emerald green paint that was in the set and expected it to much darker but the color of the tube and how it actually dries is much darker. The colors are very vibrant and do not soak into the canvas as some of the thinner paints can. I would highly recommend this to anyone that does canvas painting professional or beginners if you like a little heavier paint, it goes a long way.

This is a good starting kit for beginning painters. It contains large acrylic paints, 12 bottles of the basic colors, plus a few bright colors to use alone or mix and create your own color. They would start you off with all of the colors that you need to begin your journey into the world of acrylic painting. Being a painter takes practice and there's plenty of paint, and there is plenty of paint to practice. Take your time, you might enjoy beginning painting classes. Take out only the amount of paint you think you will need, because it will dry out overnight. You can always add more if you need it. Clean your brushes when you are finished. Don't let them soak in water too long or you will ruin the brush. Enjoy the Castle Art Supply Acrylic Paints. Great quality paint!

I'm new to acrylic paint but I wanted to try gel plate printing and landed on this set as my starter, and I love it. Texture is great, colors are strong and clear, and they dry beautifully. Easy to mix with slow-dry medium or opalescent medium to make gel prints super fun and satisfying. I especially love the mix of colors in this set - more painterly than some of the sets based on primary colors.

It is simply how the pigment of the art materials you are using interacts with light itself and it is a measurement of a pigment's ability to resist fading or discoloration under normal circumstances. This can be any type of sunlight or ultraviolet light.I have used these paints for a long time and they have been excellent. I've noticed that my paintings, which are now two years old or more, have yet to show any signs of fading or color change despite exposure to light. The quality of the paints has proven to be very durable in terms of lightfastness

I normally use a higher quality paint which equals more money, but when I used this for a quick touch up my mind was blown. The consistency was beautiful and thick, the color was vibrant and I adored the way I could see my strokes.10/10 will buy again
