It was a little challenging but worth it. Instructions are clear but some common sense is needed. Look ahead the instructions for better understanding, mine just happened to have an instruction page in the wrong place. It does shoot about 15 feet and fun for small targets.

Fun for any teenager or adult. Small wooden pieces comes unassembled. Works great after assembly.

I bought this for myself (an adult) as I've recently gotten into building wooden models. This is my 5th one, and others I've bought were from another brand but all turned out great. This model from Wood Trick was fun to build. That being said, a couple of steps in the instructions could've been more clear. I'm used to building models where instructions where illustrated in a similar way (all pictures, no text except for a legend on the first page), but there were a couple of steps that confused me so I looked up the assembly video on Youtube. I'm 100% certain I would've made an irreversible mistake if I didn't search for the video, so I highly recommend it as a supplement to the booklet. My finished gun DOES shoot and comes with enough pieces to make extra bullets should you lose some. Be sure to sand all pieces and wax the ones indicated! I'm very pleased with this model!

This is probably my second wood puzzle gun. My first was the ROKR AK47 rubber band gun. This is however my first wood bullet firing gun. I got this one because I wanted a full sized wooden handgun that wasn't too overpriced. Assembly was a little difficult but only took a few hours after getting into it. My one major complaint is instead of springs & metal hardware it uses rubber bands & toothpicks. I would have liked to see spring loaded mechanisms in the trigger & firing pin & a spring in the clip/mag & screws to hold it all together better & allow smoother operation/function For the price I was kind of expecting some metal components at least for the trigger & firing mechanism but instead it's all rubber bands & toothpicks. Bullets need allot of sanding down to make them so they can be fired through the gun. If not they will get jammed not even half way into the barrel. The clip also gets stuck since it uses a rubber band instead of a spring to push the bullets up into the gun. It does work when built correctly but hardware quality needs improving & it doesn't fire 13 feet as advertised. At least maybe 4 to 6 feet max. It does look good though. Closest guns I can compare it to is Robocops gun(from the original movie) or the Plasma Defender from Fallout New Vegas minus the green LEDs. Also the front of the barrel isn't orange as advertised so you'll have to paint if you want that look. Also no safety which I thought was odd. Clip release is a bit sticky & takes some force to pull the clip out & push it in.

Given as gift. Recipient seemed happy with it.

I was heasitant to buy this having previously purchased a similar kit of an M4 riffle and having slivers and toothpick stab wounds for a while. However im glad i bought it. It was much easier to build and could be done with my kids. The function works greak and its fun to play with (seriously considering upgrading the rubber bands as it only "fires" about 8-12 feet). I wish there was a way to make it semi auto instead of having to manually pull the slide each time but that would probably make it much more complex to build. All and all its a fun build, looks great, and is a functioning model. Im working on building a whole set of "weapons" then bulding a wood gun case for my desk display at work.

Pieces do not go together very good and had to glue most of it and it doesn't shoot very good a rubber band will go farther don't buy it not worth it

The actual building part is as advertised. Overall pretty fun, was able to "finish" building in a little over two hours. Make sure you're using the right size rubber band for each part; the small and medium bands are really similar at first glance. However, when I was testing the shooting capabilities, I've had the same part (number 11) snap twice. I don't think I was being particularly rough with it. Actually replacing the part means disassembling most of the toy. I get that it's wood and the model itself is delicate by nature but I was disappointed to have the same part break under normal use. It's nice that they provide so many spare 11 parts but it's a chore to disassemble everything to replace that part.

It took 2.5 hours to assembly the gun with a dozen wood bullets. The instruction is very clear and easy to follow. The assembling process is fun. Functions pretty well, shoot bullets 4 meters away. Need be careful when pulling the trigger, if pull too hard it might jammed. Will definitely buy some similar wooden toys.
