Works for bookbinding
I was pleased to find that this paper is short grain, so can be folded in half for bookbinding. It looks fantastic with a real antique feel. I found it is not so great for some media such as pencils and metal nib/dip pens as the surface of the paper is easily chewed up by these, but I think this is to be expected with some handmade papers such as this. Inkjet printer works fine. As others have pointed out the paper has a strong smell, presumably from the production method, but I did not think this was too unpleasant. Overall, would thoroughly recommend for bookbinding projects that need an antique look.

Was not expecting it to be this lovely!!
This paper has exceeded all expectations! The texture is beautiful, it takes paint really well without bleeding and it looks aged to perfection. I am so happy with this. I've tried inks, watercolours, acrylics and soft pencils. Pencils didn't work, everything else was great. I didn't use my dip pen on it because the nib would be too scratchy. The surface is very soft. I tried rubbing out some lines and the eraser left a mark, so make sure you know where you're planning on putting marks, because it can't be undone if you go wrong! This is exactly what I was looking for, and can't wait to order some more in different sizes. Only advice is that scratchy pens, fountain pens and pencils don't work well with this. Technical pens are fine, and I used a soft technical pencil to mark out design first and it was fine.

Great for my junk journals I make
High quality cloth paper that I am putting to use in a vintage style ancient Egypt archeological junk journal. The paper is nice to write on and has a lovely feel to it. The coloured deckled edges give the paper that vintage look which suits the journaling aesthetic perfectly.
