Great Chamomile, great for skin
This is really good quality German chamomile oil, a thick, dark blue oil. Some people don't like the smell, but to me, it is kind of like a combination of apples and fresh grass. Aroma aside, it's very effective in the salve I make for a patch of psoriasis. Better than any OTC or Rx has been. I use about 10 drops per 2 oz of mixed carriers to make a salve (cocoa butter, coconut oil, jojoba oil, and a tiny amount of beeswax), and no other essential oil. Just to check whether the Chamomile was what was making the difference, I decided that for a few days, I'd use a plain balm with no essential oils -- the same mix of cocoa butter and oils, with a little more beeswax -- and see whether it was just the emollients that were helping. After one day, I cut my experiment short. The cracking and soreness were returning, and a plaque that had just about completely healed began to crack around the edges. One day with my Chamomile salve, and it began to heal up again. When I lived in Germany, Chamomile was the primary ingredient in a medication that my German doctor prescribed. When I returned to the US, I never found anything approaching the relief I got with that. The German salve was so effective, the skin would look completely normal. My home version isn't quite that effective, but I'm pleased with it. I may tinker with a variation or two and see if I can improve its efficacy. But if I can't, I'm happy with this.

An EXCELLENT essential oil for your skincare regimen.
Google "May Lindstrom The Blue Cocoon" & check out the price tag for her beauty balm. The key ingredient is Blue tansy (Tanacetum annuum), which gives Blue Cocoon its signature color. All blue essential oils contain chamazulene, a powerful anti-inflammatory. Blue oils are cooling & highly effective in reducing redness, swelling & heat inflammation. Swelling often accompanies pain & as the blue oil relieves the swelling, it also reduces the pain. Blue tansy costs a mint, but German chamomile is much less expensive & just as effective. I bought a small bottle of Blue tansy oil recently to do a side-by-side comparison with this Plant Therapy German chamomile oil. The German chamomile was just as effective & I prefer the scent over Blue tansy. If you suffer from red, blotchy breakouts like I do once in a while, German chamomile oil will be your Best Beauty Secret. Dilute the chamomile oil in a 1:3 ratio (1 part chamomile, 3 parts carrier oil like avocado or rosehip seed oil) & keep the bend in a small essential oil bottle with a dropper top. Apply 1 drop on any pimples that pop up, rub it in gently, wait an hour & watch them disappear. Also try mixing in 2-3 drops of the blend each night when you apply your facial oil/moisturizer to keep pimples at bay.

This is a most exquisite addition to my essential oil collection!
OMG! I have been meaning to get this oil for the longest to add to my extensive essential oil collection but it was not until I was gifted an emollient from a natural products show that contained this oil that I knew I could no longer wait. Now I am sorry that I did not order a larger bottle but I usually never order a larger size until I have sampled the product. I hope I don't sound like a drama queen when I say that this oil adds to the quality of life. Its too precious to put in my diffuser or bath but it will definitely go on anything that goes on my body and maybe in. The oil seems to enhance the quality of whatever you add it to. It has a subtle calming scent and seems to increase the silkiness of an emollient. I haven't had enough time to use it extensively therefore can't comment on its many uses. I did mix it with coconut oil and other essential oils as a salve to go on a dog bite (on my dog) and it worked beautifully with the healing and minimizing the itching. This is a high quality oil and I need to investigate the company's other offerings.

This smells HORRIBLE!
I wonder if it's because it says German Chamomile but this smells absolutely horrible. No way I can use this in my diffuser

... not sure what German Chamomile is supposed to smell like but this is a little bit medicinal
I'm not sure what German Chamomile is supposed to smell like but this is a little bit medicinal. Not bad but it is not floral or what you might get from Bath and body works when it says chamomile fragrance. That said, I know it's not supposed to smell like that store bought chemical fragrance. So if you are looking for that move on. Also, it is blue tinted so be careful when using. I bought it because of bad dry skin and eczema. I blended some with lavender oil (mostly for the fragrance)and coconut oil and whipped it in my mixer and been using it for a few months. It worked a charm. All the chapping, itching and bumps were gone within a few days. The oil is a bit thick and takes a bit to come out so be patient. But it does seem to work. Also after a few days there is almost no smell whatsoever, That is fine because it still works for what I needed it to do.

I'm using it along with some lavender oil in good quality olive oil on the hives on my hand
I'm sort of new to using essential oils; but when I developed chronic hives I went online to find an essential oil solution. German Chamomile kept popping up for it's anti histamine quality and so I went to Amazon. I always check customer reviews before buying many things and especially essential oil. Plant Therapy Essential Oils seemed to have very high customer satisfaction, so I ordered. I'm using it along with some lavender oil in good quality olive oil on the hives on my hand. I usually get immediate relief from the intense itching. I recommend this product.

Good Product
The shipment was fast and arrived before the expected arrival date. The quality of the German Chamomile was actually better than expected having used lower quality chamomile oil in the past so this was a bonus. Use sparingly as a little goes a long way. There is a strong chamomile order which I personally don't like but is to be expected. To the person who left a 1 star review because it did not help your sleeping, you bought the wrong type of chamomile. This is German which is different than Roman Chamomile. German Chamomile is used for skin irritation and stomach cramps among other uses but it does not help with sleeping. For that you want to use Roman Chamomile.
