Fun, easy activity for kids !
My 3 year old loves these. He will sit at the table and scratch away for hours. Great for long car rides! Surprisingly he never lost the pencil during the car ride, he always puts it back in the plastic holder. He prefers the “color-reveal” ones since you can already see the picture. The hidden picture ones are better for my 4 year old, who also enjoys them!

Keeps the kids busy
My boys love these books, good for anytime and any place. Just makes a small mess with the shavings from the pages, but worth the peace and quiet

Great for planes
My kids (age 5 and 7) can scratch on this for hours. It's great for planes, and even though the shavings make a bit of a mess, they wipe away easily.

Messy Fun
I wish I could give this product 4.5 stars because I REALLY like it quite a bit. The reason I don't LOVE it is because, as others note, it creates quite a mess. To be fair, I was able to brace for the mess, given the reviews of others (and thank you for the warning, gang!), and I was willing to deal with some mess for the unplugged fun this would be for my kids during long airplane rides and during downtime during summer travel. But when others (and now I) say this creates A TON OF SHAVINGS, please note we ain't exaggerating! I had my kids work on these sets at a desk or table in our vacation accommodations so the shavings would stay put and I could sweep them into a trash can. (And I feel badly for the shavings that we left behind in our airplanes. It was like we did ten zillion scratch lottery tickets during the flights. Hahahaha!)That said, my kids LOVED these low-tech/no tech sets and they could be creative in the designs they scratched out. The sets are compact and take very little space when you tote them around, too, and the pictures are nice to see revealed. I also liked the value of the three-book set versus buying the books individually. Overall, if you and the kids in your life don't mind messy fun, these are definitely good buys for you!

Love these scratch-able books.
My 5-6 year old grandsons love these scratch-able books. The books kept them entertained and quiet for at least an hour. Great for the car, except for the shavings that come off the books.Would buy them again.
