The product came quickly, packaged securely and with a beautiful presentation. It is not a cheap flimsy box as expected. It is well crafted cared for as such and delivered as such. I am extremely impressed and did not expect the quality!!! I am a craftsman and carpenter myself and approve of this on all wood working levels.

I purchased this because I figured I'd rather spend $24 on this than $30 on supplies to make my own and end up with a worse item. I was wrong. Even I, a lazy, clumsy, beginner-level idiot, could do better than this.Pros: true to exterior dimensions; overall looks good...as long as you are looking at it from across the room; seems sturdy enough, structurally.Cons: scuffs, blemishes, dents, stain errors, minor scratches; some pins pushed through the brass accents; lid isn't flush with base; hinges are a bit loose.[Pictures provided to show issues as well as int/ext measurements for this specific model, to help clear up the ambiguity in the Questions section.]Conclusion: not my worst purchase ever, but definitely not something I would ever intentionally waste more than a tenner on...as an impulse buy at a flea market.

The paint job is not that good

We needed to find a beautiful box to use for prayer requests at our church, and boy are we happy we bought it. It is well made and beautiful. Has many uses and it is beautiful.

More elegant that usual carved boxes.

I had an idea to do things a little differently this Christmas. My idea was to place small gifts in various sized velvet bags, and then to place the bags into various sized boxes and wrap. The recipients unwrap to find an attractive handy trinket type box, and upon opening, assorted velvet drawstring bags containing, their smaller presents. It all proved to be fun and quite a successful idea.The only problem with the idea, was to source a range of Indian boxes suitable for the task. I ended up returning a number of boxes for being just too shoddy. I then found this seller and these boxes. To be honest I thought them a tad expensive. However, I’m so pleased I paid that bit more, to obtain what turned out to be, some very good quality, well-made boxes.Each box arrived carefully wrapped in some fine paper, then placed inside a bubble wrap bag and then placed within its own colourful cardboard box. These were placed in a regular cardboard shipping box and promptly delivered.Very impressed with the seller, service, and yes, even the price.

ProsHeavy, feels more expensive than it actually is, looks good for the price, plenty of storage room for jewelry however I have been using it as a stash box, decent red suede/velvet fabric lining.ConsHinges are a little flimsy but strong enough that repeated opening/closing will be fine as long as you don't swing it open. Would recommend just closing the hinges slightly with pliers.Brass pins on corners a little uneven but again, value for money and it adds a certain character for me personally.Carving is alright but can certainly see the human touch of it which endears it to me a bit as i cant imagine any one of these is the same.OverallCan't go wrong if you're after a cheap robust box to keep things in, has a hole and catch for a lock however I think if someone wanted to get into it they could pull it open regardless with some force.Reasonably well put together, would benefit from stronger hinges, i have bought a set of universal rubber stick on feet as the bottom is very smooth and could quite easily slide on a smooth surface. Will definitely be buying one again if the current one ever breaks for whatever reason.

I've been looking for something beautiful to put my mum's ashes in and then I found this. I fell in with this for the fact it's got the tree of life and thought this would be perfect. I've literally just gotten it and opened the box I wasn't expecting anything amazing but my god is this beautiful. It's got a good weight to it, it's thick hard, good wood, stunningly carved, the brown staining of the wood I love (was worried it might be more orange but it's not) I have to say whatever it is they painted on to protect it smells a bit but it's nothing really. Im overly happy with this, definitely the right resting place for me mum.

I was looking to replace the horrible plastic containers that usually hold toilet wipes for our downstairs toilet and this does the job perfectly! Very happy with it. In fact I'm toying with the idea of buying another for our en-suite!
