I bought this feller roughly 6 months ago, and I absolutely adore him! His smile never fades, and his beady eyes gleam! As far as why you should buy this over other stuffed animals, these are the main selling points I've found.1)The fur stays nice even when put through a washing machine + dryer. Other stuffed animals get matted fur after a few washes, quite depressing.2) SOFT. This is one of the softest stuffed animals I've ever had the pleasure of owning. The stuffing is very soft, and the outside fur is also soft. Its a win-win. Often I find this guy ends up my pillow, hugging my face with his little hands.3) Due to the location of his eyes, they don't get beat-up in the dryer. My other stuffed animals have eyes in positions where they smash into the wall of the dyer, and cause shattering. I don't know about you, but I hate when my stuffies have glaucoma.... :(4) Emotions! This monkey is fantastic. He has a great expression, and the hands with tiny opposable thumbs make for fantastic thumbs up/down. Cover his smile with one hand, and he is laughing... Wipe his bangs back with his hand, he is trying to impress the females... the possibilities are endless!The only con that I have about this monkey is that if you use the arms a lot, the stuffing around the arm seams dwindles... but this is expected for almost any stuffed animal.P.S. I named mine Boozer because he has a big beer belly! (best pillow ever!)Hope you buy this and enjoy it as much as I have!Edit: Updated as of 1/19/2012This fella is still holding up fantastic. I've washed him countless times and the fur is still perfect. I recently purchased a different tubbie wubbie as a gift because of the sustainability.Edit: Updated as of 2/4/2013Boozer is still alive and kickin despite being cuddled and washed often! These little lions are so cute and soft. They look exactly like the pic, perfect size, no odor on them. So glad I purchased for my grandbaby.
