I have ordered this 3 times in 6 weeks.. this is the best hard salami I have had in a long time. Great customer service, individual handwritten note of thanks was included with two orders ! The negative reviews are individuals who did not know what they were ordering. This is well worth the money. A plus to any charcuterie board or just a snack. It is hard to slice if you do not have a good knife ,I have several. Also it is not tough to chew. This is not a fatty greasy salami, nor odorous. It has low moisture content. Love it. This looks ( is ) the kind you see hanging to cure and age in Deli meat markets.,casing is natural or peals away easy enough if you split it down the side with a knife .. and pull the attached string. Texture is perfect.

The best beef salami I've found. Artisanal quality and reasonably priced. A staple in my kosher-style home.

My dad would buy hard salami at the Brooklyn deli's in the 60's and 70's. I have always loved it. I haven't had it since my dad passed in 1980. My memories of how much I enjoyed it have been revived. Perfectly cured and tastes wonderful. Great customer service and follow up.

Great product! Love itUpdate.I read some reviews of the people who do not know what is cold smoked meats and probably thought they were buying simmer sausage.To such people. This is hard salami, cold smoked sausage, VERY hard, absolutely delicious and is not supposed to be sliced for serving half inch thick cuts. It should be sliced thin. The product is of very high quality and not more expensive than in the store, so stop marking it one star if you do not understand what a cold smoke meat is.

Way to greasy for me. My friend, to whom I gave the remainder, thought it was wonderful! So, try it and decide for yourself! :)

While it is tasty and reminds me of the old farm flavors. The packaging is nothing natural. Who in their right mind writes all over the actual food having the plastic wrap as well. Is that ink even edible? I peeled it just in case but it is stupid not to mention charging so much for something not naturally packaged. I helped my grand dad to make salami in the farm as a kid and the skin is supposed to peel off naturally as you consume the salami. What a shame. First, and last buy. If you know Salami, you would know what I am talking about. I do not recommend this product.
