I got these opal stud earrings to give as a Christmas gift not being completely sure if they would be of a quality that I would be willing to give but after thoroughly inspecting them, they certainly are.Natural opals which are formed from hydrated silica, can be found in a huge range of colors and patterns. Most of the world’s supply, in fact 95% comes from Australia, with the remainder coming from Ethiopia, Brazil, and Mexico. Opals have been sought after and treasured since the beginning of recorded history, artifacts containing opals date as far back as 4,000BC. For anyone who has purchased opals well knows, these stones are expensive - in recent times scientists have developed processes of growing them in labs. I have found just like every natural opal is different so is each lab produced opal.This set from Finelove is beautiful - greens, pinks, yellows with great refraction of light, in fact, so much so that it made photographing difficult. While these are produced in a lab they in no way should be viewed as fake - their composition theoretically is identical to a natural opal, scientists are just able to speed up the thousands of years it takes for opals to naturally form. Therefore the color of opals you will receive very well may be different from mine, which is one of the reasons people love this stone.These earrings are not too big yet not too small, plated in white gold and come with two sets of backs. The box they came in isn’t ideal for wrapping as a gift and I wish they would have provided a better box versus the “bonus gifts” which really aren’t worth mentioning.In terms of the earrings, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this set. How many wows can I put here. These earrings are so elegant. The opals are beaming with colors. Ethiopian opals can be high-dollar. I just bought a ring with a natural opal and when I put these earrings next to the real thing they look every bit as good. Normally I wouldn’t wear synthetic lab created jewelry but these looked pretty nice. There is a huge difference in synthetic and lab created. Synthetic gems can be complete fakes (not always though so it is really important to ask if the description uses the word synthetic.) but lab created gems are the exact same composition and physical attributes it was just grown in a lab under better conditions. There is no doubt in my mind about these beautiful earrings, they are definitely the better of the two terms. There is no way they came from different materials. The silver is not too shabby either. They are .925 and that is the best there is. The halo design is very alluring. There is definitely a lot of fire flowing through these stones. I attached my pictures with these really great lab opals right next to my natural opal ring. They look exactly the same. I really enjoy collecting gemstones and jewelry pieces. I will definitely recommend these earrings. This is just a helpful hint. Before I started collecting, I would buy jewelry and just wear it out without taking any special care of anything. Now, not only do I care for my pieces, I know how to care for them. It is always good to research and or lookup how to care for them because nine times out of ten, the jewelry stores usually will not tell you how to. That is the only way to ensure that I get the best out of my jewelry. I am so glad I ordered these earrings. They are truly a delight.

This pair of earrings comes in a small, white cardboard box that is plain but would work fine for giving these as a gift. The description says the earring posts and backs are white gold plated and the stones are lab created opals surrounded by small cubic Zirconia stones. My ears have some sensitivity and I haven’t had any problems wearing these earrings. I like that in addition to the metal backings, two plastic backings are also included.When wearing them, the earrings look quite stunning. The opals are very pretty and colorful and the earrings are sparkly enough to stand out without being gaudy. The are small and lightweight and comfortable to wear. The only downside is the posts seem like they may end up bending over time, but for now I am enjoying these cute, attractive earrings.

1st of all, I'm really happy about the gold plated posts which are supposed to be great for people with sensitive ears, like myself. I really struggle finding earrings I can wear because my ears tend to get infected very easily. I have only worn these one time since receiving them but I haven't had any discomfort with these so far.These are pretty but, in my opinion, they are no where near as attractive in person. The product description picture shows them as being sparkly and vibrant in color. The ones I received had more of a white yellow hue to them instead of the beautiful baby blue color the product description showed. It was a disappointment and they don't have the beautiful flair to them I was hoping for. They cubic zirconia design around the edges of the circle are beautiful, however.

Here's what she had to say:These looked really pretty in the photo and when they arrived, while they are a bit different, they're still pretty. The simulated opals in mine are more ivory, less green and not quite as sparkly. The came with two plastic backings in case you're sensitive to metals, which is nice - because I am.They're a nice size - not too big and not too tiny. About the size of a large pea. The cubic zirconias around the center opal are a very nice touch. Makes the earrings much prettier than if the opal was there alone.Overall, these are pretty - but to me, they look like they're worth about what the sales price is.
