Is there an English and French set?

Why is this more expensive than just buying the two books separate? They cost $14 each?

Do these books work independently or do you need a Leap Frog system?

They work independently but.... we had to gorilla glue the language selection to English for my 1 year old grandson...if you need Spanish or have a bilingual child I'm sure it's great but the button could have been placed on the back where it's out of the way of little fingers. Nothing like driving on the highway listening to the toy go on & on in spanish with a crying toddler demanding you fix it.
