Good quality but limited application
This guitar trainer aimed for novice players looking for ways to develop their hands away from guitar. Idea of small neck piece that could be carried and used for this purpose is great. But there are several limitations with this product (and, probably, with all similar). It made exactly replicating widest and hardest to play (for novice) 1-5 frets. And because you don't have a guitar body to compensate weight you put on strings, it makes practically impossible to workout any form of chord or anything that involves whole body. This I would call a main limitation, you can not replicate that feeling in the whole body when playing guitar. As a result you tend to work with muscles that are not used when play guitar or used in different way. This is a sure way to develop bad habits. Also, don't expect any kind of note sound out of it - it just makes pitch-less plucks - no bends and legato with pitch match, but you can train strength of the fingers and controlled slides. What this product is good for is finger independence and stretching exercises. Good for learning scale and arpeggio forms/fingerings away from guitar.

A Great Learning Tool
This product seems to have unfavorable reviews but I personally think this product is a great tool to help beginners learn chords. It makes it easy to memorize finger placement and practice transitions between chords. Itâs not meant to play the strings. Itâs not meant for strumming. Those can be done while practicing regular guitar. But holding a regular guitar can be cumbersome and my back starts to ache while practicing and memorizing chords. This little pocket guitar is perfect to bring with you as well. Once I feel like I have a more intuitive feel for where my fingers need to be I can transfer what I practiced to regular size guitar.

Huge fretboard
I have a full sized acoustic guitar and my fingers can't even come close to spreading far enough to practice on this thing. If you have giant hands, this will be perfect for you.

Do not expect more than figner exercise. It's a garbage.
I bought this just to keep up with my finger fretting exercise during my trip. Nothing more than that purpose. It's a complete garbage. To open the cover, you really have to push the cover down (vertically down) and push downward like a sliding motion. Other than that, good luck.Product was delivered covered with grease and tons of scratches. Unless you will use just for figner exercise, like spider, don't bother.

Gross.
Dirty, broken, most definitely used (not even in protective bag). Looked like it had plastic hairsâŚ. Or at least Iâm hoping it was the plastic⌠caught up in it. Returning, and not for exchange.

It's a training tool
It's a training tool that teaches your fingers hand possession. It's not a musical instrument. It's a training tool that I think works very well

Exactly what you'd hope for
This item is exactly what I was hoping for. You can't make the correct tones with these real strings, but they aren't for that...tighten the strings (they'll never get tight enough without you probably breaking them) , then it feels relatively correct and you can test the strings to see if they ring or thunk. Since the strings aren't as tight it was perfect for starting out. The white part has lines to mimic strings you strum, so you can also practice strumming patterns. Also, I didn't realize this came with a carry bag and like a dozen picks, so I'm very happy with this purchase.
