These Hanadama rated Akoya saltwater pearls are exceptional quality. They display a sharp mirror-like luster and very bright white color. The 14k gold pearl earrings came with the required Japanese Pearl Science Laboratory certificate; and turned out to have a much higher quality than I expected - as they are rated Aurora Hanadama. I bought these pearls because they were on sale plus they are rated at the highest quality of Akoya pearls. So it was a good buy and I really love pearls. Pearl earrings are a classic and you can’t go wrong. The earrings also came with the pearl care paperwork and jewelry box as advertised. My smartphone photos do not show the quality of the mirror reflection that these pearls display. I am highly pleased with these earrings and they are lovely to wear. I had a positive experience with The Pearl Source and these are the third pair of pearl earrings I purchased from them. I definitely recommend.

Just received my beautiful Pearl Earrings, and could not be more pleased. They are beautiful and the Pearl Source got them here ahead of time. I have had previous dealings with Pearl Source and they are a great company. I only ordered through Amazon this time as I had received a very generous Gift Card to Amazon. So took advantage and ordered the Pearl Earrings that I had been looking at on line.

Having never bought fine jewelry online before, I was a little worried about whether I'd be getting what I paid for, but the pearls are actually better than described. They are beautiful, finely matched, quite smooth, and look much more expensive than they were! I gave them to my sister for her 60th birthday and she LOVES them. They look gorgeous on her. She was worried I'd spent a fortune on them so I told her about this deal, but you'd never know they didn't cost ten times as much! She still gushes about them. Four stars not 5 because the hardware seems a bit lightweight for the size of these relatively heavy pearls. Still the best birthday present I've ever given.

Even with prior experience with high-grade pearls, I put in months of research before making this purchase--especially sight unseen. The Pearl Source enjoys an excellent reputation overall, and I have purchased Tahitian pearls from them in the past and been well-pleased, so I decided to entrust my Hanadama purchase to them, as well.I am so very glad I did, as this set is nothing short of BREATHTAKING. Yes, it is an investment, but far less so than purchasing the same earrings in a boutique, and the 9.1mm pearls are the perfect size to be elegant without being overwhelming.As Aurora Hanadama-rated pearls, these arrived with all of the required paperwork and certification. The pearls themselves are white with a pink overtone and pink/gold/green orient. They are enchantingly iridescent and display the classic Hanadama metallic, mirror-like sheen. They reflect so much light that they actually appear larger than they really are when on the ear, and tend to bathe the face in a soft, almost candle-like light.They are extraordinary, and I feel honoured to be their custodian while they are in my care. If you are considering this type of purchase, I would strongly encourage you to give The Pearl Source a try. I fully expect you will be equally elated!

Really, really pretty! It is clearly above regular grade akoya pearl. On ears you just see great luster but on table surface you see the pink and green sheen. If you cannot find any akoya pearl that satisfy the quality you desire, you should get hanadama quality. Comes with certificates as stated.

Quality of pearls is very good. There is a thick nacre, and consistent luster. No visible flaws. Size as expected. My issue is with the gold post, which is very thin, and the back slips off easily. I have jewelry tools to tighten the backs, but they become more fragile with each manipulation. Bottom line is, I love the pearls, but I’m afraid they are easy to lose.

These are gorgeous pearls. Spectacular. Because I am not impressed by fancy documents, I only glanced at all of the certificates and took them to a jeweler. These are absolutely the real deal.
