CASTLECREEK Log Coffee Table, Rustic Natural Weathered Look Wooden Rectangular Center Tables for Living Room

I bought this along with 2 side tables and the matching sofa table. These are great deals for the money and deserve 5 stars and have a great rustic look. I want to just point out a few things that I noticed just so people know what they are buying though. This is pine wood so the tops will dent fairly easily. The top surface has a decent coat of polyurethane on top to protect the wood but the legs and bottom do not appear to have any finish. I actually like this look but it leaves the wood susceptible to stains and scuffs. Also, the legs and bottom are quite rough, again adding to the look, however you could seriously get a splinter on these. I ended up sanding the legs and bottom and wiped on a coat of satin polyurethane to provide more protection and make the table safer. It looks like the polyurethane top has been blow torched when adds more contrast to the pine grain and looks very nice. Assembly was easy but there were some pretty big size variations in the legs I received. One was particularly thick and one was quite thin. It didn't bother me once it was in place in the room because, again, its meant to look rustic. I also ended up having to place an extra felt pad under one leg because of wobble but you cant tell from looking at it. Even with these small issues, its really a fantastic deal for the money and I would buy again.

While I was assembling the table I noticed that each piece of the table was very light in weight. Almost as if it’s made of balsa wood. One section must have been defective because the peg snapped off into the joint. On closer look I notice the peg or dowel was machined by the knot of the tree. Which makes it a weak point on its own. The quality of the table with the type of wood wouldn’t allow me to recommend it. We returned the table for a full refund.

Easy... simple assembly. I glued everything with wood glue along with the provided screws for added strength.I would have given 5 stars had the top not been scratched up needing immediate refinishing. I sanded it down and refinished it with 2 coats of poly. It needed a more durable top finish anyways.With that being said, it overall is worth the money. I've seen the same thing in furniture stores for over 500 dollars with nothing more than a glass topper added to it.I see review complaints about it being light weight. It's pine.... properly dried pine wood is lightweight. It's not dense wood. So it's perfectly normal for the wood to be lightweight. Some would consider that a benefit. A great table for what it's designed for. A coffee table.I recomend putting a couple coats of finish (a good poly) on the top to make it a bit more scratch resistant.It's on my porch for now but soon it will be in our new cabin. The pieces look great. The legs are pretty sturdy… but the tops of all the tables are cheaply made. I purchased 5 pieces and the 2 larger tables came damaged and scratched. Also would have been nice to see in the sellers photos that the screw holes are in the FRONT of the table legs. I did not see this until I purchased them. At least they are on the bottom but would design differently if possible.

Exactly what we ordered, easily put together. Very sturdy. Highly recommend!!!

Solid piece. Easy to put together. Looks great on our screened in porch. Hard to beat the price.

I new these were cheap but wow! Packaging was horrible, some bubble wrap but nothing secured in the box so the top is all scratched up with some chips. Many spots had no stain put on the raw unsanded wood. The legs are but foot part isn’t so it sits on the inside edge. Could definitely damage a wood floor.

Not too bad to put together (I bought the end table and the couch table too). The finish is quite thin and not very durable so I put 2 coats of verathane (or urethane, I can't remember, lol) over everything and now it will last and has a more protective coating. I'm not a big coaster fan for drinks, lol.Don't buy these if you think they are going to be heavy duty wood. They are a very light weight pine wood, but they look fabulous and can handle some weight when assembled. I have a 30 lb. marble salmon sitting on the table and it is solid.
