Seems great but the large size is very large. I’m returning it for the medium size.

I’ve had this calculator for 4 years and it is still in great shape and very beautiful!

I recently rearranged and cleaned carpets in my office and the unthinkable happened. My calculator (yes this exact same one) went missing. It has yet to turn up. Without hesitation I ordered another one. It it everything you want in a calculator and nothing you don't want. Easy-peasy to use. Nice big buttons and very comfortable to use.

In my experience, calculators with a "00" key usually also have an "auto decimal" feature, so that every number entered assumes that there will be decimal point in front of the first two numbers entered. This is VERY handy for adding up columns of financial transactions that include dollars and cents because you can quickly punch in "495" and it will add "$4.95" to the column of numbers being summed. Whenever there is an even dollar amount (like $5.00"), the user can hit "5" and "00" and save a keystroke. Doesn't sound like much, but when you're adding a hundred numbers while going through receipts, it can save a lot of time. As far as I can tell, there is no such function on this calculator, so the 00 key is just in the way and awkward to use. This might just be an issue for me because I used to do a lot of 10-key stuff when I was a college kid working at a service station where I had to manually add up all the credit cards and cash transactions at the end of the day (this was before the days of modern gas pumps and POS systems!). OK, I'm a dinosaur, I admit... I can't figure out what the "tax" buttons do (there were no instructions with my calculator that explained this). There is also a "GT" button (Grand Total) which seems to act like a memory where successive operations are totaled together. For example (where [n] is the number displayed after the last keystroke): 1+2+3= [6] 1+2+3= [6] GT [12] Bottom line, there are a few confusing features, an unnecessary (IMO) "00" button that is too easy to hit accidentally, but the size and general functionality are good, and the display is easy to read. Based on the price, its a good value.

This review is for the Pendancy 12 Digits Large Display Calculator, with Tax Function, Big Button Desktop Handheld Calculator. This calculator work perfectly. We use it for homeschool, work, and bills. The large size and buttons are great for my son to use in school and for me! I love the look and color of the calculator as well, instead of a boring black calculator. The key functions work and I like that it has square root and tax functions. This is a basic calculator, so no scientific calculator functions, but for basic needs this is perfect. If you have a hard time seeing small buttons or screens you will love the big buttons and screen.

Older folks that don't want to use the calc on a cell phone love these, as the buttons are huge and easy to press (and see!) It runs on solar power from just about any desk lamp, as well as on batteries that are already installed when you open it. A pretty simple, plain old calculator. This one seems much better quality and construction than the last one I got at a dollar store. Easy to use. Hope this review was helpful.
