I found it hard to rate this candle. The first 2/3 of it emitted almost no scent while burning. At first, I had it in my living room. But, I kept moving it to progressively smaller areas, hoping some scent would emerge. Nope. Finally, once it burned down to about 1/3 of it left, I began to notice a pleasant scent slowly spreading in the 12 x 18 room. Once the candle finally decided to release its scent, I became substantially more impressed. It actually did smell like a campfire. This is not the same as a fireplace, so if you are looking for a strong burning wood scent, there are more appropriate choices. This scent is more complex, just like a campfire would be, depending on the mix of wood, twigs, leaves, old dog chews, and whatever else ends up in a campfire. Maybe the sample I got was old, or somehow missed the scent injector where it was being made. I think I'll try it again to see if the missing scent in 2/3 of the candle was a mistake or if that is just how they make it. I'll update this review if anything changes.

Just burned very fast and got a burn from touching the lower bottom to blow it out needs a bigger glass holder had a great smell all in all !

You know that amazing smell in the air on a crisp fall evening when someone nearby is burning leaves? Well that’s one of my favorite smells ever. I get excited when I smell it as I’m driving through town, or every time I’m sitting in front of a bon fire. I’ve always wanted to “bottle” that smell, and have bought countless candles in hopes of finding that perfect smell. Well the search is over! I have FINALLY found the PERFECT smokey candle!!! This candle is seriously on point, and smells amazing without even lighting it. The perfect campfire, burning leaves smell fills the room beautifully. It’s not too over powering or not enough. It’s perfect. My heart is full and my nose is happy!!! Already purchased more!

I was torn about ordering this. The only scents I like are wood and smokey scents, like hickory or sandalwood, teakwood, stuff like that. I wondered if it would just smell weird and fake and here's the thing, it does have an essence of smokiness in the same liquid smoke has an essence of smokiness. It doesn't smell like a camp fire, it smells like an old bbq joint. It's smoky, but more in a food like way than an aromatic way. Not great but not horrible. Wouldn't not reorder.

This candle does smell like a campfire! I love the scent. Unfortunately for me, the scent wasn't powerful enough when burning. I tried the candle in our living room first. When I couldn't smell the scent I moved the candle into our small bathroom (10 x5). I was bummed when I couldn't smell it in the tinier room. The only way I could smell the candle is if my nose was just inches away from it. :(

The scent is correct but it doesn't disperse very far.

I don't like to write bad reviews but Amazon sent me an email asking me to review so....I will review. Its not a good one. This candle...literally had no scent. I dont know if I got a defective one or what? But I light the wick and even put my face up to it and smell nothing. I burned it a couple times and nothing. I ended up throwing it out. Could just be that I got a defective candle so hopefully if you buy one yours is scented..even a little. I wasted money on this deal for sure.

I've had this burning for a while now. Absolutely no throw. If it develops later, I'll update. But for now this is a huge disappointment...
