Pumped thousands of gallons of waste vegetable oil with it
I pump about 400 gallons of used veggie oil from a restaurant a year from one I bought that looks exactly like this. Can’t remember where I bought mine but felt compelled to write a review so here I am.I’ve had it for about 6 years now (about 2400 gallons pumped). Lives outside year round on a table partially under a metal pot. Have ran it in 100+ degree F and in below freezing temps. In cold weather I have to run it dry a few seconds to get rpm up then submerge the inlet in the thick/cold oil for it to pump at a safe rate. Otherwise it pumps very slow under a lot of load… overheats and burns out the on/off switch. Yes, I did that. And I ended up just bypassing the switch.The handle broke really quickly so I made one with some bailing wire and a section of pipe.The point is, I am very impressed with how well this thing pumps and survives my abuse. Still pumps as well as the day I bought it. 16gpm seems accurate, with waste veggie oil. Might even be underrated when it’s 70F or warmer out.

Good pump but a little noisy.
For the price this pump moves a lot of fuel and waste oil.

The pump broke very quick.
I only used the pump only 4 times before the pump broke.

Worked better than I had hoped
Transferred 300 gallons of used motor oil from a tank to a tote in 20 minutes. Solid stream, no leaking, pump did not heat up at all. Very pleased with it.After two more uses I must revise my rating to one star. Two pumps were shipped to me due to one being obviously a used one. Neither pump lasted more than 3 hours before failing while transferring clean, used motor oil, which the pump description said it was good for.
