Gets the job done ✅
My mom sent me a shirt from Old Navy— it’s white so she didn’t notice that the security tag was left on. By the time she had given it to me it was maybe a month after she purchased it and she didn’t have the printed receipt. She used her rewards account to purchase it so with hassle I could’ve had the store look up her purchases but I don’t have that store easily accessible to me where I live (no car). I’ve held on to it for 2 years in my basement because I kept procrastinating on buying a magnet. Finally got one magnet and the tag came off easy! I stored it back in its original packaging since it’s a strong magnet I just don’t want to mess up any devices and it’s handy to have.

It’s a great stud finder
I have been a handyman for many years, and I have bought quite a few stud finders. They work fairly well, sometimes. There’s always a battery to deal with. And sometimes the wall surface is rough, and the thing doesn’t slide on the wall very easily. Then there’s the insulated wall issue. None of the stud finders I’ve ever owned were any good on an insulated wall. I have seen the little magnet-on-a-swivel kind, but I never bought one. Then I bought one of these magnets. I didn’t buy it to use as a stud finder—I just wanted to see how strong it was, and I’ve always been somewhat fascinated by magnets in general. Well, anyway, I soon realized that it was so strong that it would probably stick to a wall where there was a nail or screw. And it certainly does! In much less than a minute I can locate a screw or nail head, and it will actually stick to the wall! After all these years!! I finally have a reliable stud finder that doesn’t require batteries, you don’t have to squeeze anything, and it works on any wall that has nails or screws!! Fantastic!!

Nice, Strong Magnet
I like this magnet. It is much smaller than you expect if you don't read all the details in the description and pay attention that the pictured size is not the actual size. It's about an inch length and width. But I still love it and ordered another one. Its large enough to appreciate and experience it. I'm not an expert in magnets so I can't speak for the actual quality. I just love this interesting feature in the Nature/Universe. It looks to be of excellent quality to me. I handle it with care. It is a strong magnet so I keep it away from electronics and in the original box.

Extremely strong magnets - not a toy!
Looking for extremely strong magnets to boost an old magneto magnet, and these seem to be about as good as is possible without building an electromagnet with pounds of wire. They come with a thin spacer to hold them apart to prevent pinching. So far, I have been unable to slip them apart by hand even though I have excellent arm and hand strength. These things are spooky strong, and could easily injure a child that didn't understand their attraction. I will be building an apparatus to separate and hold these for use. Update: after building a steel bar mount, I was able to carefully stick the pair of magnets to it, and then wedge the top one off to the side and separate it with a wooden block. I then used this assembly to successfully "recharge" the magnets in my WicoEK circa 1900 magneto. Excellent!

Fairly strong but brittle
It's strong, but it's also rather brittle. The outer shell will likely be cracked or crack during first use.

Great Magnets poor packaging
I just received my two orders of two. While the magnets themselves are great, and dangerous if not handle correctly as in only ever handle one at a time and keep a LOT of distance between them, the packaging was way inadequate. I had two orders arrive in one huge box and all four of them were damaged, two shattered and two chipped badly. Two where wrapped in bubble wrap which was completely CRUSHED where they were stuck to the box of the other two. The other two in the remains of a 3"X3" box with white foam inside which had been flattened to the thickness of a sheet of paper. I've received magnets like these in the past and they've always been shipping in a rigid container, usually either plywood or HARD plastic surrounding them for several inches never with foam or bubble wrap. The might have arrived intact if it was only a single order of two because those two where already together and couldn't snap together. What I can only assume happened is that the two separate orders snapped together at some point, either when thrown in the HUGE box or maybe the bubble wrap popped under the stress of several HUNDRED pounds of force being exerted by four of these monsters wanting to be one. I will be ordering replacements as they are what I needed fingers crossed that the next ones will arrive intact. Also you WILL need a magnet separator to get these apart you will not be able to do so by hand even with only two of them and the plastic separating them.

VERY powerful magnets!!
Before using these magnets, you will need a way to grip/grab/hold them. They are incredibly strong and require special handling. These are not toys, and if you "play" with them as if they were normal, everyday magnets, you might end up with a broken finger or two. This was a GREAT purchase. The surfaces are smooth with a dull matte finish, professional and appealing design. I've never owned anything this strong. Once you figure out how you plan to manipulate these things, you will be amazed -- but you need to be careful. Definitely worth the money!

Very powerful
I had some ideas of what I could use some strong magnets for, but I didn't count on how hard they are to handle. It's like trying to keep Magneto locked up in a metal-free prison. If there is anything magnetically attractive around they keep pulling in different directions. It was everything I could do to get them apart (after reading all of the reviews about how fragile they are if they slam together). I am happy with the strength and with careful handling I should be able to use them but it's not what I was expecting. Don't get these unless you have a real need for them and are prepared to treat them with respect. They aren't toys.
