and was easy to clip into place
The item fit my EOS 5D Mark II perfectly, and was easy to clip into place. It isn't as refined as a Canon product, and should not be stamped 'Canon,' but is certainly fits and has no issues opening or closing.I got this because I purchased a used camera on eBay along with the battery grip. When I took the grip off, I realized I could not use it safely (or at all without the interlock engaged) without a battery door. So this low cost solution was a big save-- thanks!

Fit Canon Mark II very well.
Bought this for my Canon Mark II because I lost mine after years of using the battery expansion pack. This fits my camera well and does the job.

Works exactly like the one I had when I initially bought my camera. If you're like me you probably lost this original piece as well. Ordered this and it fit right in, no problems whatsoever. Kind of more expensive than I would expect but easily worth it.

Worked perfectly!
Ordered for a used 5D MK II that came with no battery door because the previous owner had always used the camera with a battery grip. This replacement snapped right in and works perfectly. No issues. I would recommend this product to anyone in similar circumstances.

It fits, but doesn’t work, broken, cheap assembly
It fits, but barely. I have a canon 5D mark 2. Not sure what is wrong with this, but it’s just not well made. I ordered 2 of them. One I couldn’t get fitted into the camera because the clip was not able to slide back while holding it into place.The other one I got onto the camera easily, but couldn’t reopen the battery cover without breaking it open.Total waste of money.

Battery Door
It does close and stay closed. It’s a bit tough to open but it doesn’t need to be opened very frequently. Overall this door met my needs.

This thing does not work at all, the protruding ...
This thing does not work at all, the protruding part which is supposed to press a connection in the battery compartment when closed does not work, hence even though you close the door the camera will not turn on. Moreover, it has very low quality construction. The pin that attaches the door to the camera does not have a spring. The unlocking mechanism is also very clumsy.
