Although not a fan of tension rod shelving, I’m really glad I took a chance on the 5-tier, although I’m only using four for the time being. I have all this great sun exposure in the space, but my pets would not be able to help themselves if I put a bunch of plants are within their reach! Still, I couldn’t leave the pets out completely (in the photo you can see a kitty munching some cat grass on the lowest tier). Installation can be a tricky at first, but once the pole is set up and feeling sturdy, the rest is a bit easier. The individual shelves are neither flimsy nor easy to move around, which is actually a good thing. It’s nice that they are adjustable to allow more room for growing plants. When you do need to adjust them: you’ll need to move the plant somewhere temporarily first, then loosen the bolt, turn the shelf up so that it’s parallel to the pole, scoot to desired position, then start tightening while the shelf is still parallel. Once the bolt is partially screwed into both sides of the cylindrical piece, slowly unfold the shelf so it’s perpendicular to the pole and finish tightening the bolt. Phew! The grey shelves also blend nicely against darker walls. I recommend!

I was actually looking for the ones that would fit in the alcove of my front window but unfortunately these were too long, I thought I measured it right but we do make mistakes. We are only human.I put these on the outside of the alcove which is fine. Still gives me enough room to put a small table and more of my other Thanksgiving/Christmas cactuses in there. There are four trays that fit four plants on them and they have an extended bar to put whatever you want on them. I have put chimes instead of hanging plants. You can order the extra hanging bar separate with the purchase, if you want, it was easy to put up.

Set this up today. It was very easy. Very well made. I actually ordered another I was so happy with the quality. Very stable once in place.

I really like it, assembly was a little difficult. The directions are hard to understand & the parts aren’t labeled very well. It was hard to understand which part went into what part. It took longer for me to assemble than the directions suggested. The pole isn’t as tight as I’d like, I felt like if I kept twisting I would’ve broken it. I do really like it, the shelves are nice & I really like the saucer type shape. They are deep and I don’t have to worry about dripping when I water plants. I would love another arm so I could hang another plant. It only comes with 1. The plant shelves tighten very nicely & seem stable. I would recommend this item.

Loved the idea of this! Allowed me to put this together without drilling. Can be used in so many ways!

I’ve seen other reviews saying this stand is not sturdy, that is not true. I’ve been using mine for about a year. And it also holds a good amount of weight. You can also add more shelves to the pole. I love it and I think it is a great way to store plants and it doesn’t take up too much space. I’d ignore the negative reviews and order it, give it a try, it’s worth it.

This order was fulfilled promptly and everything fit together perfectly. Assembly instructions were obviously written in China and they likely don't have the most perfect use of our language, but assembly was straight forward looking only at the visual graphics. I like the way it looks in my living room and holds plants quite firmly. I also like that the trays are large enough ( 6" diameter) to hold even the largest of my plants. It is a welcome addition to my living room decor and the quality has prompted me to order an additional one, largely because I like balance and harmony. My couch is placed centered on a large living room window and a pole on just one side didn't quite provide the balance I wanted. I did not hesitate to order a second pole the very next day. I also ordered several add on trays but they wont be here for several more weeks. It seems they are coming directly from China. No problem, since I have more than enough space right now to accommodate my existing plants.I would not hesitate to recommend this product to anyone.

Works well, extends sufficiently

I bought this plant pole to take up less room on the floor, but still get them the sun they required. Easy to assemble, very sturdy SS pole and the platforms are as sturdy as they claim.

Easy to assemble without damaging the ceiling/floor. The trays are very secure.
