Best vacuum ever!
Themis vacuum is amazing! The power detect function works really well, it is a little heavy but it moves well over carpet and hard floor. When it's using high suction it's a little loud but I think it's not any louder than any other vacuum. We have 5 dogs with shorthair, the hair is no problem. All the attachments work as intended and dust is not problem for this thing. My carpet feels clean and soft after being vacuumed. My only complaint is there isn't enough places for the 3 attachments that came with it to store on the vacuum, and when I go to use it in lift away mode, I always knock one of the attachments off. I feel like I'm always picking up an attachment that feel off it's storage location on the vacuum body. Outside of that it is a fantastic vacuum and highly recommended

BEST VACUUM I'VE EVER OWNED
This is without a doubt the best vacuum I've purchased in my 50 plus years of owning and using vacuums, and I've owned quite a few different vacuums from the inexpensive to the ultra expensive. One of my favorite vacuums has been the K***y primarily for it's suction power and deep cleaning abilities, but at age 72 that vacuum was becoming way to heavy for me to handle and, with two long hair dogs, a real chore to keep the roller brush clean. So I did the logical thing (LOL) and bought and tested several Robot vacuums that claimed to be tangled free and capable of picking up long hair. Huumm... Sure they do...NOT. In all fairness the Robot vacuums do a great job on hardwood floors, but if you've got rugs or carpets and pets, forget it. I did keep two different brands of Robot Vacs, one for upstairs and one for down stairs, but I still needed to vacuum the area rugs with a conventional vacuum 3 times a week.Which brings me to the Shark PowerDetect. It works, it just plain works as advertised. Powerful when needed, swivel head works like a charm, glides over hard floors, basically self propelled across rugs and most importantly for me, picks up long dog hair without getting tangled in the brushes. Is the Shark PowerDetect perfect? Hardly...it's still on the heavy side but easier to maneuver especially on hard floors than my K***y. On carpets the darn thing can actually run away from you if you're not careful (the trick is to walk with it rather than using your arm to pull it back and forth or use a lower speed/suction, which kinda defeats the PowerDetect function). My dogs long hair does get trapped (not tangled) at the top of the dust bin rather than settling on the bottom, so I have to open both the bottom and the top dust bin trap doors, which means you will have to touch whatever you vacuumed up along with your dogs hair in order to remove it from the top of the bin.Would I recommend the Shark PowerDetect? ABSOLUTELY!My dream vacuum would be for Shark to develop a Robot Vacuum with the same dual roller system as the PowerDetect and powerful enough to vacuum carpet and rugs, picking up dog hair, self emptying (no Bags), and of course mops. Fingers crossed.

Best vacuum! Get this one!
I had two broken Dysons that were about five years old. Instead of spending money to try to fix them, I decided to give this vacuum a try. We have wooden floors and large area rugs. This is by far the best vacuum I have ever had. The wand attachment is the best! With a click of a button, I can pull the attachment hose off via the top of the vacuum/handle and then easily click it back into place when I’m done. No more fumbling around to use the attachment hose on a vacuum. It’s super quick to switch back-and-forth with using the upright and the wand. Also, both the wand and the vacuum have lights. It has made a big difference because now I can see the dirt on the floor much better and how well the vacuum is cleaning it up. I also like the roller underneath. We have pets, and the hair is not getting all tangled up into the roller. The collection bin is super easy to empty, and it has a separate compartment that winds hair up for easy removal. This vacuum is by far better than either of my two Dyson’s. If you need a vacuum, get this one.

the problem is using the attachments ... very awkward!
I've had this vacuum for about 3 months or so.Pros: Cleans well. Good suction for most pet hair.Easy to use, meaning it isn't a struggle to push it over the carpet. Also the power button on the handle is great.Cons: The tube for the attachments looks stretchy but isn't; the vacuum frequently falls over while using them becausethat tube is just too short.I had to buy extra attachments that were, I think, overpriced, but did work well.Using the wand function, either from the handle or the longer one, is very unwieldy and awkward. Plus you haveto unwind the power cord all the way to release the long wand.Really wish there was an automatic cord winder. (I thought it wouldn't matter to me, but it does.)I would have given this product 3.5 stars if I could, it's that irritating to use any attachment.Overall, I would recommend with reservations. Works very well for standard carpet vacuuming, but if you want to use attachments, be prepared for a struggle.
