I’ve had concern for sometime with the accuracy of the analog pressure gauges on my compressor, so decided to replace one with this digital gauge, hoping I could have more confidence in its readings. This new gauge is a bit larger than the original, but has the proper size threads to easily attach with nothing more than some Teflon thread tape needed. Since it is a digital readout, two AAA batteries are necessary to operate the gauge and its back-lit readout., which are included with the gauge. To see the current pressure it is necessary to press the On switch located under the pressure readout, which automatically switches off after a short time. While batteries are an additional complication to a pressure gauge, I do like watching the gauge show increasing pressure one tenth of a pound at a time as the compressor is operating, and yes, it does give me greater confidence in the accuracy of the pressure in my tank.

I use it for pumping up SUP boards and the meter gives a very accurate representation of the air pressure with a sensible scape.
