seems to work but you should plan to modify it
seems pretty accurate.the binder posts are horrible...no hole for a wire cannot plug banana plugs into themthe case should be 1 1/2 inches smaller mostly empty see picbut the big issue is the internal wipers are simply pieces of steel with rough dimples punched into them to make contact on the copper pcb. when I opened, after using for a couple test values, the pcb was significantly scratched with deep gouges into the pcb...steel wipers on soft copper... not good (see pic)...dont think it would last very long without mods.for the fun of it i modified the thing by drilling a hole in the dimple then wrapping 18ga copper wire around not fancy but now the contact is copper to copper and copper is better conductor than steel...it still marks the pcb but doesnt gouge it plus i added some contact lubrication in hindsight would use smaller wirenow it works great should last longer

Does vary resistance at an affordable price
The media could not be loaded. Opened box and as it typical, I looked for the instructions. No English instructions to be found. Granted, It's a variable resistance box.... I know what it is and how to use it. However, if it's worth writing down in one language, it should be worth translating to English if selling into this market. Quick check of the resistances does appear to work ok.Pros:1) Reasonable size for use2) Self explanatory ease of use3) Cost effectiveCons:1) Shipped with piece of metal flopping around inside (See picture of solder slag or something I found inside after opening up)2) No English instruction manual3) Very basic buildA quick check with my ohm meter does indicate it does vary resistance based upon knob position. I'll withhold final judgment on overall quality until I've been able to use in a circuit and test appropriately.

Ok with some refurbishment
I am not going to rate this too low because it is the least expensive 0.1 ohm decade box available. However, this needs to be refurbished before it can be practically used. Open up the box and solder thick wire interconnects to the banana plugs. Then liberally apply silicone grease to the rotating contact areas and work it in. After doing this, they work fine.

Inconsistent resistance readings with identical settings
The resistance as read by my digital meter is not repeatable.....that is to say that if you set a resistance on the dials and take a reading then move the dials and re input the same settings again you do not get the same reading. (note: I said the same reading which in addition may not match the dial settings because of tolerances.) Looks pretty, but not functional for my application which requires repeatability. I would not buy this item again. Update: since I am an electronics guy I opened up the unit and found what I expected.......dirty switch contacts......cleaned them with "tuner cleaner" and the unit now works within tolerances.....getting the case screws out was a project.....very tightly torqued.....another indication that the supplier needs better quality control.

resistance varied
couldn't get a consistent reading

great for the price.
bought this to do testing with oscilloscope, works good for adding resistance and testing. Would buy again
