Bought these to make 1/8" spacers for some machining operations I needed. They arrived looking pretty good but do not measure 1/8" in thickness, they were more like 0.117". Now, of course, I don't expect 1 thousandth accuracy as this would likely require machining and would be expensive, but close to 10 thous under is a lot. 7%, actually. Basically, I can't use them as 1/8" spacers. And also, I would hope that if they are going to be off on the thickness it would at least be on the thicker side so we can at least grind or sand them down to the proper thickness to use. But no, it's under. Helps the bottom line, I guess. The width is also less than 1 inch. IME, most products from China are actually sized in metric and many US resellers just list them under the closest imperial size with little regard for reality. Maybe that is what happened here as well. In this case, they are not quite 3mm either, but at least fairly close, something like 2.95mm. So I suspect they were actually produced as 3mm bars. But not 1/8". So, yet again, some dubious specs in the listing. I guess the trick is to look for the (hopefully) stated metric dimensions and completely disregard the imperial ones, at least that'll be closer. So, if you need aluminum bars in the general vicinity of a bit under 1/8" this may do as generic material. If you want close to1/8" you may want to find something more accurately / generously sized.

The product was completely useable but I expected more of a standard mill finish. There were lines along the length of the product from the extrusion process. An aesthetic flaw only.

When I read the reviews and people had stated that there was a horrible finish on these pieces of aluminum I just couldn't believe it but when I received it it's true if you want the aluminum to have it a smooth finish do not buy this if it doesn't matter then it functions fine.

Its aluminum, and the dimensions are right, BUT the opening it was extruded through must have been worn, as the surface has lots of ridges and valleys! The surface of the pieces is ROUGH,

This product has a poor finish. It's "Made In China"
