Bought this product after browsing many other brands and trying to keep costs down in order to purchase a stronger graphics card.The packaging the unit came in was tidy and sturdy and it was obvious no careless postaging would have easily damaged them.Installation proved a little difficult, however I associate this with the motherboard I used rather than the units themselves. The cards work perfectly with the motherboard dispite not being on the official supported list (Asrock Z97 anniversary).The cards themselves were sturdy, a tad bulky perhaps but no more than the norm. I had no issue with space when installing.- Overall a very nice 16gb of Ram at an affordable price. Would buy again. I will edit this once I have more testing done and some more time has elapsed (4 weeks at writing).Update----------As of a month of buying this product I am happy to say all is running well. The upgrade to windows 10 went smoothly all devices recognised. Ram shows no sign of slowing as I increase the workload I expect it to run which is great. Definitely a product worth getting.

Finding quality ddr3 memory in 2023 is not so easy. Patriot is a known and we'll regarded ram brand, I was amazed that I could get 16gb for so little money yet with a full size heat sink! Fantastic.Now a word about fitting these. I already had a pair of 8gb ram sticks installed from a decade ago when I first built my pc. These were 1600mhz corsairs. So fitting additional pair of 16gb patriots sticks also 1600mhz would be fine? Not so easy... If I removed the old sticks and inserted the new ones it worked. If I then added the old ones the pc kept shutting down. If however I installed the new patriot sticks in the second tier slots and the old corsairs in the primary slots it worked, but the motherboard down graded the clock speed to 1333mhz! A quick check revealed that the cas and latency of the old ram wasn't as fast as the new ones, even though they were all 1600mhz. Then I discovered the difference between jdec and xmp protocols. Basically the bios has xmp off by default. Turning this on allows the motherboard to operate the ram using the proper xmp profiles for each stick, so now they are all running at 1600mhz directly. In fact just switching on xmp gave my pc a 10% frame rate boost! Lesson learnt, turn on xmp if you have compliant ram sticks!

No issues with this memory. It seems stable on my old Win 7 machine and was a worthwhile upgrade.

Slotted it straight in noticed a difference instantly.. definitely a simple, cheap & effective way of speeding up an aging system..
