This was a fun purchase but the doggone thing sheds way too much. It does look very nice on - I purchased it for my daughter's school dance - but in the end she wore another similar non-shedding 30 gram fluffy marabou boa that I bought on Amazon at the same time. Both looked really great, but the shedding from this was the dealbreaker. As recommended by some other reviews, we opened the package over the bathtub, and I'm very glad we did, or we would have had to deal with major cleanup!! I guess shedding is inherent to these types of boas so perhaps they shouldn't be judged too harshly, but I definitely should have paid attention to the reviewers who mentioned it. My daughter currently has it hanging as a room decoration, and as such it works perfectly (though not for the purpose for which it was intended), hence the 4 rather than 3 stars!

This boa is alright. It's pretty, but it's not as full as expected. Also, the feathers fall out all over the place.

I took it out of the bag and a bunch of feathers fell out, then wore this for 1/2 hour in my living room and so many feathers came off that I had to vacuum my living room. The ends were 2 big roped knots that they didn't even bother trying to put more feathers around to disguise it a little. Very disappointing. I mean I can't take my dust buster everywhere with me.

We order this item for my child birthday. It held up well, minimal shedding. Color was as expected.

Loved these. I made a hat for school sport week. They were full and the color was consistent throughout both boas. Very little feather loss while sewing (picture shows total) and not as much as expected during wear.

so open it outside - this thing throws feathers everywhere. Red is not as "blood red" either. More of a bright red. A little disappointed.

Definitely not two yards and some of feathers discoloured and stuck together.
