I am not a Kona coffee connoisseur. However, I did honeymoon in Hawaii and fell in absolute love with Kona coffee.I tried a reoccurring company that would send me a bag every month and it was terrible. It literally tasted like Folgers.So after reading the reviews of this Blue horse coffee I was nervous that I was entering into the same problem.This is really good Kona coffee! I am impressed and it tastes just like it did when I was in Hawaii and that's what I was looking for. So if you don't want to spend $350 on a 5 lb bag of coffee this is your best bet.

This coffee is not for everyone because of the cost. Once past the price this is and will be great for holiday treat during and after meals and a great gift for coffee lovers on your shopping list!!! Yup highly recommend this coffee and this roaster!

let me start off by saying that i do not have very much experiences writing reviews, so i will just try and convey my own personal opinion and thoughts about a product i have so far enjoyed. I am now more than 75% through my bag and i am very pleased .I have made cups using the french press , stove top espresso , and a reg auto drip. my favorite being the espresso so far. The beans seem very fresh and the attention to detail in the packing is A plus . down to the personal note . you can tell they really care about what they do and how they do it. When i opened the bag i could defiantly tell this is a different bag of coffee. very fresh organic smell to it . the taste was was very unique iv had other kona's that seems a little better than avg store bought whole beans this was very different. Very earthy smell and very fresh and very smooth , no bitter after tatse when brewed properly. i use the Friis Coffee Vault, Stainless Steel to store my beans , which i HIGHLY recommend for any coffee enthusiast, And several weeks plus in and the beans still smell and tatse brand new out of bag. i will be buying another bag, i will prob buy the darker roast next time to compare the two.side note my wife who loads her coffee with cream and sugar said she even loved this new coffee way more and could tell a difference and can no longer go to her mothers and drink the pre ground folgers

Kona coffee is not bitter like other coffee. Even when I need to save money I just can't get myself to buy any other coffee. I only drink about a cup a day which makes it a bit more affordable then if I were to drink more then that.

I have always wanted to try a Hawaiian brand of coffee, heard that it was the best ever tasting. Well I guess coffee is coffee it tasted no different than any whole bean brand coffee, was very disappointed, I thought it would nock my socks off, way to expensive for my blood. If picture are shown the left shows local bought the right shows Blue horse. The Blue horse brand the beans looks slightly smaller
