I can't see it as a beverage holder, especially if you are entertaining, but for serving it would be perfect. Fridge or cooler would be a betterbeverage for a lager party application. I ordered two and they showed up in perfect condition and I chose them because of the double wall thinking that would help more with insulation for foods that needed to stay cool. The other option I was considering was a plastic serving bowl. A little small for something like chips but perfect for salads (potato, macaroni, lettuce or something like that). Haven't used them for entertaining yet, but it looks like they would be perfect for a party of 6 - 8 and they do look good. I plan on using plastic or wood utensils as not to scratch them so I'll have them for the rest of my life or until I'm not cooking or entertaining. One thing to note is that it's double walled and I don't see a seam which is good because I plan on washing them by hand and not in the dishwasher. There is a very, VERY small dent at the top of one so if you're a perfectionist you might give this a 4 star review but if that's your concern, best you go to a specialty kitchen shop. For the price and for what I plan to use them, they'll work just fine.

I read the reviews for this item and expected it to be nice. I received it today and it’s beautiful and even better than I expected! The items arrived in perfect condition and are beautifully polished. I live in Hawaii and everything sweats or gets warm in a hurry. The pool is a substantial size and will be great for potato salads, plain salads, or anything else that needs to be kept warm or cold. I plan on using these for outdoor dinners with one of those bug screen over it.

For the cost, this is a very sturdy and stylish bowl. Been using it mostly for salads, and like how it looks on the table and how easily it cleans up. It has a personality in its design, which usually only comes when you spend much moreIt does have one quirk that I find amusing, but others could find annoying. The metal nature of the bowl seems to lead to to 'gong' softly occasionally when temperatures rise or fall in the house. I assume it's caused the the metal contracting or expanding. No big deal at all (other than the 1st time it happened when my wife and I couldn't figure out where the heck the sound was coming from). :-)

This bowl is beautiful! I love the look of hammered stainless steel. As a double wall it will work with cold salad or hot pasta. So functional!Recently used both bowls (yes I have two!) at a brunch, one for green salad and one for fruit salad. Both salads were properly chilled. Guests commented on how beautiful the bowls were and 2 guests have since ordered these bowls.

A quick update: This bowl is so wonderful that I have since purchased two more to give as gifts.I have searched for a bowl that was easy enough for everyday use, but also has a finish to use for nicer occasions. My other qualifications were that it was large, not aluminum and not over $50. This bowl fits the bill perfectly. Our simple dinner salad was beautiful. I also love that it is double walled and can be used for cold or hot items. To me, that only added to the already great value. I see chili and soup being served from it in the coming months.My only suggestion to the company would be to include some care instructions. Because of its size and being double walled, I will be handwashing it.I am truly pleased with this purchase.

This bowl is beautiful and seems very well made. It is just large enough to hold a 4 or 6 pack of soda or beer, plus ice. I have not tested out how well it keeps its contents hot or cold, but it doesn’t have any dents or punctures that would affect the seal of the double wall.The reason that I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is because this bowl...sings. I kept hearing a loud TWANG sound like a pot had fallen in my kitchen, sometimes multiple times a day, and it took me an embarrassingly long time to figure out that the sound was coming from this bowl. I presume this is due to the bowl deforming a bit with changes in air pressure, but I haven’t tried to prove it with the power of science yet. In any case, the TWANG is kind of entertaining, but the first time it happened was while I was watching a scary movie, so...yeah, expect the unexpected with this bowl.

I used this for a very fancy candy bar for adults. It held the gold and silver Hershey nuggets. But this is obviously a food serving dish that you can use to serve anything. Just stunning. There's no way possible to not love this bowl.

Love the double wall keeps the items I serve warm longer. Looks beautiful on the table, in fact I liked it so much I ordered another one. Great for Chinese meals one for rice and one for noodles serve the shrimp, Beef, chicken in other stainless bowls lots of compliments.
