A Fun Homeschooling History Curriculum For Kids!: Ancient Civilizations Of The World: Mesopotamia, Egypt, Greece, and Rome (Workbook)

We got the Workbook and the reader, I didn't get the teacher book. Overall its a bit hard to follow what reading sections the workbook activities go with. It feels like it jumps around very randomly.As homeschooling material its very dry and heavy on busy work copying assignments. Many activities tell me to get the instructions from the teacher book for a craft.

My son is homeschooled and he requested for history to learn about ancient civilization. I was searching for a while and found this and decided to order! OMG hands down the best! He loves reading it and following along with the workbook. The workbook is great to addition to the reading material and keeps the lesson very engaging and fun! It has great detail and easy to follow. He really looks forward to his history lesson because of this workbook! I highly recommend! I greatly appreciate this company too because it had a teacher guide and a timeline for the student to follow along. I didn’t see an answer sheet for the timeline and when I reached out to The Insightful Scholar, they answered quickly and within a day sent me the information! They truly care about their product and making sure you have everything you need to make it the best experience for your student/child! I’m so thankful we found them!

This workbook is intended to be used in conjuction with the Reading book (textbook, if you will) of the same title.This is such a fun way to reiterate the information learned in the text, the workbook incorporates multiple subjects and relates them back to the reading. Each chapter has a map and timeline, copywork, grammar, math, an art or science project, creative writing, and even a scrapbook section so students can keep track of meaningful things they've learned. The workbook reads similar to a unit or novel study and the chapters are set up so that it could easily be completed in 8-10 weeks, but could be given more time should you choose to.It is definitely worth the purchase, and if you have more than one student there is a QR code in the book to download a printable version for personal use so you can have a copy for each student for he extra cost. (Aside from the cost of ink and paper)

I am so happy that there is a companion workbook for the Ancient Civilization of the World: Mesopotamia, Egypt, Greece, and Rome. However, I think the word ‘workbook’ is a little bit of a misnomer 😊 There are so many word games and other activities in the Workbook that it does not feel like work. I was also happy that this book does not shy away from other academic subjects. For example, when discussing pyramids, the workbook gives a great lesson on triangles – such a perfect segue!This workbook is fun and engaging and helps drive the key points of ancient civilizations home to help firmly cement ancient history in the mind of anyone who might pick up this book.

This workbook ties in everything from the Ancient Civilizations reading book. It includes a "Your Action Items" section, which is like a to-do list of what you should complete for each chapter. It also has various aids and timelines for that specific chapter's events. You don't only find workbook-like activities but also activities for crafts and science experiments, even incorporating the elements of mathematics and language arts.My only quip for this is in figuring out how to incorporate these activities during the reading portions of the book. It is broken down by chapter, but there are a good number of activities per reading. I guess that's the beauty of homeschooling, where you can structure the activities how you see fit.

I found this workbook fun, clear, and concise. Just a few typos or grammatical errors here or there, but I'm sure those will be fixed in time. I like how far back in history the curriculum begins, and the word scrambles and other games are fun for the kids.

This workbook is used in conjunction with the journal and it is such a wonderful activity book. The workbook contains crafts, recipes, games, crosswords and much much more, to further enhance the learning experience! Instead of a dry and boring experience, the activites make you feel you are in that part of history. The workbook is a great supplement for home schooling or entertainment on weekends with the Grandparents! The activities are very unique and a lot of research and hardwork has been put in the creation of this workbook. An exciting way to reignite history!

This book is full of easy to use and ready to go activities about Ancient Civilizations. There is something for everyone and it provides a good range of ways for students to demonstrate their understanding of the topics. The visuals and organization of information make it accessible to multiple student levels and ages and the included quizzes for the different chapters make it easy for teachers to include a range of assessments of learning. This is a huge time saver for anyone teaching about these civilizations and I highly recommend it!
