This product worked on my Nissan Maxima SE Model

Replaced lower control arms on a 2002 Dodge Ram 1500. These looked exactly like the old originals… just as heavy too. Bushings were shot in the old ones. Pressing the bushings out would have been cheaper but I couldn’t tell if the ball joints were worn. I later discovered the ball joints were ok but the tool I used to separate the ball joint ripped the boot. Hitting the knuckle with a heavy hammer did not release the ball joint from the knuckle no matter how hard I pounded. An air hammer might have worked but that’s not a tool I have. I do have a ball joint separator tool that keeps the boot intact but it wasn’t big enough to fit. Had to resort to old school destructor to separate it. Originally I was planning on pressing out the old ball joint for use later but after using that metal wedge, the boot was destroyed. Glad I bought the whole arm.
