This is a great sharpener for my purpose of touching up multiple fillet knives! It has an angle setting specifically for these knives. I purchased on the recommendation of a friend who is with me on our favorite sockeye river every year. While my previous sharpeners worked and got good results, I noticed his knives always provided cleaner fillets, a direct result of sharper knives.I am currently touching up a half dozen fillet knives, and can attest to its function. It works very well, and is providing the sharpest edges these well-used knives have had in years. I wish I’d discovered this Orange Ninja item earlier. Highly recommend!

It’s incredible how easy & smooth this sharper is & how sharp the knives are now

I used this knife sharpener to sharpen my American made and Japanese made knives and it works so well! This is easy to hold, easy to use and sharpens perfectly with only a few strokes.

The handle, once you get used to it, is actually quite decent. Compared to those $200+ stones that you need to know how to use just to sharpen your blades properly along with the time, and I still find many extremely lacking even into the $4800 category. This is quite effective. I've used it more than a handful of and times and plan to purchase more as a chef in the kitchen. Quick and efficient devices takes a burden off our shoulders especially during or after rush hours. It's already provided a better cut overall and minimal effort. 15 degrees to cleanly cut meat without dulling or chipping the blade and it offers a 12 degree cut among many, wish it offered a 7 or a 3 for dishes that require a very finite touch but for what it's worth, it's worth it's weight in platinum. Plan on purchasing more in the future, especially if you go with a "Chef" version as it's on par with honing steel rods.

Straightforward instructions, solidly built, easy to use, and works great.

The reality is this does work better than not using a sharpener but it does chew through knife material for the result and will absolutely not create a personal edge. This is fine for cheaper knives. I wouldn't use it on an expensive one. It's easy, kinda works but will absolutely shorten the lifespan of your knife. I tried it on several knives and some results were great and a couple ok. The material removed for the result isn't worth it but if you have a dull knife and arent picky about your knives this is ok so long as the steel isn't too soft. I wish I didn't buy it and stuck with nicer stones which I just ordered. The convenience isn't worth the material damage to nice knives.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Have used two similar knife sharpeners previously both just wore out . We're okay. But, this is the best I have ever used. Being able to adjust the angle for the type of knife makes a major difference. I carry daily a good pocket knife which works best with a little thicker edge for the variety of uses. While the fine blades with a thinner , Sharper edge for carving turkey, Brisket, ham is soon much better with this sharpener. Will never use any other. If you care enough about your knives to buy a Sharper, this is the one.!Angle guide:Makes a difference!

It works with ease and does a good sharpening job. I’ve sharpened four knives with it and it worked really great.
