Seems decently well made, I use this for old WWII pics and post cards and holds them all well.

Wasn't sure what ro expect. VERY pleased with the quality. I ordered the cloth cover. Can't speak for the "leather" vsrsion...I'm suspect if it's truly real leather...but, regardless...I've found construction if the cloth cover far exceeded my expectation for the price. If I had one hesitation it's the noticeably absent statement "acid free". However, I'm accepting the risk.If you're looking for a good bang for your buck in this style of album, this is worth a look.BTW....I write VERY few reviews...only if I find the product VERY bad....or as in this case VERY good.

I like how sturdy it is

This is like the old-style scrapbooks that everyone had when I was a kid. Coarse, unbleached paper, and leather covers with he whole thing tied together with an elaborate shoelace. People used them to save newspaper clippings, photographs, holiday greeting cards, and all sorts of other paraphernalia.Then at some point -- not sure exactly when -- they disappeared, and you couldn't find one anywhere except maybe in an antique shop. And the modern era of "scrapbooks" was ushered in by Michael's, Joanna's and other craft chains, where you needed $1000 worth of special tools and materials to "scrapbook".So I was excited when I saw these, and for a reasonable price. I still have a need for the old style scrapbooks. Unfortunately, while these replicate those old books, they do it in miniature. Most of the old books were large -- maybe 11" or 12" wide by 16" or 18" long -- these tiny things are less than half that size, maybe a third.And I'm talking about surface area, not thickness -- you can always add pages and make them thicker, but you can't paste an 8.5" x 11" piece of paper on a 7.5" x 11" page -- much less two of them, like you could with the old books.Oh well . . . maybe if they sell enough of these, they'll come out with a larger size?

Such a realistic, beautiful feel to the cover. The pages feel expensive and everything about it just looks the part. The only small issue I have is the pages tend to shift or move around and not stay bound together well. no matter how tight I tie the string there always seems to be a little too much wiggle room for the pages. As long as it’s handled carefully it’s fine, and the more you put in the book the thicker it gets making the pages stay in pace more, so I’ll update after adding more.

It may be an album to write in but for photos it won't work
